  1. Inspiration for a micro layout? Stewarts Lane 1993 by Adrian Nicholls
  2. Seeing this picture it struck me that I don't think I've ever seen a picture of a 37 pulling air con coaches before. Was it a common occurrence? 37135 Washwood Heath 1979 by Kevin Connolly
  3. I think this is a Hornby Schools Class engine with some "interesting" weathering. Yours for only £50. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204764193516
  4. I've just got around to watching the BR episode and it's the best of the lot in my opinion. There's some magnificent footage of the electrified Harton Colliery with one great shot of the shunter riding a wagon being gravity shunted with his foot on the brake. It would give any H&S inspector an aneurysm! There's also footage of the Woodhead line in it's last years, the Metropolitan line with footage of the LT Pannier, Battery locos and the Q Stock. Also featured is the industrial steam at Mountain Ash in the 70s and some S&D footage.
  5. This might inspire a little vignette for your layout.... Lincoln 1967 by Paul Anderson
  6. Rails have a sale of Dapol O gauge wagons HEA/12T Vans/Pill box brake vans/ 7 plank wagons for only £30. It is interesting how Dapol have helped to make modelling in O gauge barely any more expensive than modelling in any other scale. https://railsofsheffield.com/blogs/news/o-gauge-rolling-stock-mega-deals
  7. Dapol N gauge Class 142 £90 & Class 58s for £80 at Rails of Sheffield https://railsofsheffield.com/collections/bargains?tags_scale_vsofeb5rx8ncvkx4f1i9n6kd=N-Gauge&system_collections=Diesel%20Locomotives&tags_brand_td93xydblb7cxukrqni65zsz=Dapol
  8. I think that an RBR is just a refurbished RB and I believe Bachmann are doing that version at a later date.
  9. I've tried to record two of them and in both cases my PVR has said that the episodes were not actually broadcast, so I'm wondering if it's a mistake on the EPG or something else.
  10. Right, it was only after I posted the picture that I found out that it was on the Astley Bridge line. It's also near the sidings for the Back O' Th Bank power station which I'm only aware of because I saw the famous battery loco at the Great Railway Exposition 1980 at Liverpool Road station.
  11. I know that this goods yard probably isn't that small, but it's a nice picture. Halliwell, Bolton 1981 by Nigel
  12. Yeah, I was going to start a new thread about those as well. I watched the LMS episode and it has some nice footage of the Cromford & High Peak line in it's last few years and ironically even the "modern" footage in the episode is now historical as it looks like it was taken in the late 90s.
  13. I'm still waiting for them to announce some more blue/grey MK2s so I'm not holding out for any new tooling being announced to be honest.
  14. Yeah, I suspect that 00 gauge Stowage van hasn't sold too well and that's one reason why they've never bothered to shrink it.
  15. Now that Bachmann have announced an OO scale RB, we should see an N Gauge version as some point in the future. Having said that I wouldn't hold your breath as I'm still waiting for them to downscale their MK1 POS Stowage van.
