  1. That Ford looks spot on size wise, the Bedford TK was notorious for being uncomfortable for any driver over about 5ft 8 tall
  2. Hi, Hope the forum can help please; I am looking for a copy of the trackplan of Bathampton junction before the junction was modified to the current configuration which I believe was mid 1980s but not sure on exact date? Ideally if the plan included the loop to the west of the junction and any crossovers that would be amazing. Thanks.
  3. Nice work on these, I did up the Coles Crane for Peasevern Yard (Page 5 and 6 of the layout thread has the pictures etc) Lynx models do some nice wheels which were good fit, although your 3d prints do look good.
  4. Great idea, nice execution of an interesting prototype
  5. Gutted to hear this has been paused, I would have been up for a Bristol/City Line / Badgerline version or 2.
  6. Heljan are doing an O gauge class 153: https://www.hattons.co.uk/directory/versiondetails/article?id=1405 There were parts of it on show at MIOG back in March so surprised it has taken until now to announce, I am sure Heljan will do well with this.
  7. Looks a nice little layout, the track plan is similar to a couple of my layouts and is good fun to operate
  8. There was an O gauge layout some years ago with an N gauge line running through the backscene, it looked effective but as ever with any kind of forced perspective you need to control the viewing angle for the illusion to work.
  9. Definitely true, as soon as the ships cast off the crew would go to work, deciding which ones were resellable complete (not many bearing in mind Europe drives on the wrong side of the road) and then dismantling the rest. When stripped the shells were just dumped over the side, the floor of the humber estuary has a few Lada shells on it...
  10. "I was looking in my mirror for you Checo but I was trying squinting and I couldn't see you, I guess you were that far back.... simply lovely "
  11. Nice project Al, looking good.
  12. I think Heljan will do well with this and it appears to be priced keenly in the market. Ideal for small shunting layouts or those starting out in O gauge
  13. I can't remember the issues but early on "Traction" magazine covered this. I recall it was due to capacity being available to build them and the issues definitely weren't expected.
  14. What version of the class 37 do you have? Some later ones have bogie chains which may restrict movement
  15. It is Nick! Definitely never expected it to be that big when I started making it.
  16. With the Wiltshire weather continuing to be changeable, I took the opportunity to get the new board up. I was keen to resolve the issue withe cement silo being overheight so that was the first focus. I had hoped the discrepancy would be 1-2 cm but it was significantly more and in essence I had to remove the conical top to fit it in. It is still tight and basically will be impossible to remove when fully completed. At the other end I decided to make the road way for the Leyland National. I wanted to add some height so decided to slope the road towards the front of the layout, a slight nod to my last 4mm layout. In addition to the National, I will also squeeze in my Sherpa van As the board will bear many similarities with cement terminal on Peafore Yard, I decided to raise the road way area in front of the Presflo sidings. Next job is to get some paint on the backscene which will brighten things up.
  17. Oh wow! Interesting Qualy! Crap weather tomorrow means I will pay for the 24 hour sky pass and watch it live.
  18. Is this not fake news? None of the F1 websites are reporting it??? In other news, 1 lap into FP1 and.... Oh Sergio! ... There are easier ways to leave the team than stuffing it into the wall on your first timed lap...
  19. The last 60 class 37's had different electrics to the previous 259 and the donor locos for the 37/4's were deliberately chosen from this batch.
  20. I was under the impression that 60100 was already designated and the designation was in part a reason why it was chosen for the super 60 programme.
  21. I am not sure what the latest is with 58050, is still designated for preservation? It wasn't one of the Alizay ones.
