Hi Richard I should have finished cads by the end of next week (only decals to finish) then I have to obtain quotes for tooling I have had one provisional but I do need to check on a couple of other suppliers. Biggest thing being honest ,I still have a few more SPA network rail to shift before I can place final order ,I do have all tooling costs available. Hugh

Hi Peter I could no way match Dapol even I am waiting for HEA,s to come out at that price? Even 3D printing on any 7mm wagon would be expensive for Cavalex or Myself.(could end up a lot of hassle for very little return) Hugh

Hi Cav I looked at doing SPA in 7mm but it worked out 400-450 sales before I would get a return on investment. I was never sure I could sell that many but now with class 08 and 03/05 on there way it might be worth thinking about one day? Hugh

Hi Sorry no it would not be viable - 1200 models divide by 5 wagons done per bag is 240 bags times £4 a bag = £1000 just for couplings? Their is no problem regards to coupling it is we are trying to give better detail on braking system and coupling is in the way? Hugh

Hi The cad designer was given NEM details but somehow ended up with it wrong ,I actually blamed the manufacturer of the tooling as we had it drawn in one program and they were using an old out of date program and I had then to pay extra to have it all re-wrote to the one they were using. I in my other topic i put my hands up to length of coupling that was my fault as I was only sent one wagon and it ran ok with other manufacturer wagons. Hugh

Hi Yes the coupling was modified on NR SPA to 1.5mm front of coupling to buffers but checking with Cav what he has set up to on his new wagon. Hugh

Hi I have a couple off cad drawings to show how the wagon is coming along. I have taken on a wagon that none were preserved and working from old drawings/photo,s and a friend who is into wagons. Again if you see anything we are not to late to amend. Hugh
