    Well my week has just been spoiled again with the sad news of Dave Shakespeare and my old work mate Dave Clarke and both to the big C - god life is cruel. You will be missed a great modeller and such a nice guy. RIP Condolences to his wife and family at this sad time. Hugh

    Lets be honest the railways don't really want freight on them unless its bulk transfer that makes money. Look at all the stations that had small yards connected to them, just look in old books then do google earth today. Same goes to a lot of works that had railway connections, lines gone and now just memories. There must have been many happy scrap men in 80,s/90,s???? Hugh
