As others have said, a great show. I spent over 4 hours on a single trip around the halls just visiting each stand once, no breaks for food/drink or any other comforts. Superb value for money. And so much space! It was odd being able to wander freely around an exhibition, I've got used to crowded, narrow aisles. If an outcome of Covid is more spacious events then that may be a positive - I bought my Warley ticket today (cheers ChrisM) so it will be interesting to see if it is any different at the NEC. Thanks to everyone who made today possible. Graham

Thanks - that's done it. Graham -
For years, I've just used my laptop for RMweb but now I'd also like to access it on my phone. I can get the site easily enough (and can browse as a non-member) but how do I sign in so that I can use the site as a member? Thanks Graham

Two photos of the 10.56 from Inverness to Kyle today passing Craig, just east of Duncraig. They were snatched shots in the pouring rain so are not the best quality. Graham

I haven't checked the previous 20 pages so apologies if this has been mentioned before. I saw this at the site of Lowesby station in Leicestershire today. Incidentally, the station itself is in very good condition. Graham

Nottingham MRS Spring Show - Saturday & Sunday 26 & 27 February 2022

Shame you missed it, it was very tasty. -
Matt, the problem with your comments is that you use numbers like 98% as if they have some factual basis, whereas it is just a number off the top of your head. It doesn't give credibility to your views. Graham

I enjoyed my visit to the show today, particularly liked Welby Lane, a Taste of Alber and the sausage bap. Graham -
Try a very small quantity of oil on the axle. I have to lubricate quite a few Bachmann items to quieten them The Mk 1's are particularly prone. Graham

Went for a walk along and around Bennerley viaduct today. The locals like their signs to be blunt. My favourite..... Graham

I agree with EWD in the post above. We visited today and did a similar walk to EWD but missed out the muddy bit. Lots of people around so hopefully good for the local economy. Thanks to EWD for the cafe recommendation, I had a second breakfast in there. Lots of railwayana on the cafe walls to look at. Across the road from the cafe is Armstrong mill - the place is like the Tardis - its huge, on several floors. SWMBO could have spent hours in there. Until today, I wouldn't have thought you could have such a good day out in Ilkeston, we'll be going back soon because I didn't have enough time to visit Malcs models, which I understand is a very good model shop. Super day, well recommended. Graham

In 1960 we moved to a house 30 yds from the railway line in Bedworth. I could look out of my bedroom window and do my trainspotting right there, the line was on on embankment so it was very visible. The memory that stays with me is drawing the curtains one morning and seeing Lord Hurcomb (the Brit, not the person), light engine and stationary, waiting for the signal to change. Graham
