  1. I believe there is some 'spin' coming out of Manchester today. If someone could kindly let us know if this is really anything new or just a 're-announcement'.
  2. https://www.ukconstructionmedia.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/Shenfield-set-for-new-trains-following-work-completion-1024x682.jpg Not sure if terminating Crossrail (Elizabeth Line) trains will be running at 125mph+.
  3. Slightly off topic but couldn't help noticing the 'chunky' nature of some of the new (replacement) gantries at Shenfield on my way to the Mid Essex Exhibition on Saturday. Its not even as if there is a requirement there for IEP's to run in multiple at over 125mph.
  4. Disruption between Clapham Junction and Surbiton until end of the day - http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_disruptions/171268.aspx Waterloo delays: Londoners face fresh misery with disruption set to last all day - https://www.standard.co.uk/news/travelnews/waterloo-delays-londoners-face-fresh-misery-as-track-failure-sparks-more-disruption-a3631591.html
  5. Was that not the Farish 'N' gauge (rather than OO) tooling? EDIT http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/119201-farish-peaks-whats-going-on/ - Post 7
  6. When I was gazing at platforms two and three at Waterloo last (Sunday) night I was mistaken by the 'high viz' platform assistants for a lost passenger. I rather stumped them when I asked 'will the work definitely be finished by Tuesday?' 'Yes' was the assurance, clearly these two were not as enlightened as many of their passengers. Dreading the moans from people in the office tomorrow if when things go tits up.
  7. FYI - In German although I assume that this is a postscript.

  14. Already an ongoing thread running - http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/114692-new-west-midlands-franchise-standing-room-only/
  15. Just a thought. I trust that these trains will have 20m (rather than 23m) bodies? Otherwise they won't fit in-to Platforms 1 to 4 at Waterloo - after lengthening that is. Many thanks in advance for clarification on this matter.
  16. I don't know if this has been mentioned on RMWeb already, I only found out about this by pure chance when looking at YouTube last night, Here is the latest news article I could find on the subject-: https://www.noz.de/lokales/ostfriesland/artikel/919139/leeraner-miniaturland-will-modellbahn-loxx-kaufen The usual story of rent increases being one of the contributory factors. Any more updates/developments would be welcomed.

  20. So Cardiff to Swansea (where 125mph isn't required) would be a good place to give this a try.............
