Hi Mark,
I have looked at your modifications to Dave Bodnars dcc++ trhrottle, and I am impressed!
Looking at my own understanding; not so impressed......
I built the version with encoder and HC12 radio some time ago, and have now installed your code in it. Mine has a 4x3 keyboard, and 2,16 lines as opposed to your 4,20. I think I have successfully changed the code for that accordingly, and it works, but the presentation is a bit, well, different. I have three locos entered, and I can activate them on my two lines, just as in your pictures.
But, the functions presentation doesn't work; again it looks just like on your pictures, however pressing a key just briefly flashes the "on" symbol, it doesn't stay on( but loco lights do come on so it should be a display issue ?) Have you seen anything like that ?
Also the top loco, on both yours and my displays, shows on the function area "F012345" ?.?
How to set funktions for that loco ?
Small oddities, but worth fixing. Again, your code is still a great update, have you done any more work on it ?
For myself I see a "DIY digitrax UT4", with a pot for speed zero to max and a switch for direction.
Some small keyboard for loco selection and functions; maybe, just maybe, a simple display too.
But this one should work well first, so ideas are most welcome!
Regards
Peter

Hi Robin,
Thank you for that reply .
I have made an enquiry about a 2m x 1m x 3mm closed cell Neoprene sheet and will report back on my experience if I ever build a layout. At the moment I do not even have a baseboard; we can but dream .
BTW According to the web [ so it must be true ] closed cell affords less sound attenuation but greater structural integrity than open cell which has the converse characteristics .
Yors Aye, wpslo .

Hi
I have just located a Bachmann RFO in Darker green, it has the same part number 39-253 but the box is marked as (SR) Green, as opposed to my other lighter green RFO marked as BR (SR) Green. So that’s a bit of a spanner in the works. I thought we had it pretty well sussed. But anyway your list has helped. If I wasn’t so OCD about it it wouldn’t matter.
regards

You wrote a message last summer about fish traffic at Folkestone which included traffic from S. Wales. I asked a question on here a few weeks ago about this traffic, as I have read that some of this fish was exported to France (specifically Paris) pre WW2. I got some responses but not hugely helpful.
Do you have any idea what rolling stock could have been used, or where I could find out. As far as I can tell, GWR had no cross channel rolling stock. Renault & Citroen exported kits of parts for their cars to Slough for assembly there , but I can not believe that the returned stock would have been used for this. Ideas??

It would appear DCC Concepts might have a problem they have yet a acknowledge. Can I assume if you had any contact with them they advised they decoders were out of warranty, which is what happened when I contacted them.

Need some help. Have now installed most of electrofrog peco points to tortoise switch motors. Have 2 with frogs that appear to be dead, all others are fine. The 2 points in question are brand new peco points suitably prepped for operation but frogs are dead. Motors wired correctly and installed under baseboard. Any thoughts?
