  3. Been commissioned to paint a lovely 5" gauge NER E class 0-6-0T. Now if only I could work out what colours to paint it!

  4. All I said was that this piece of Halibut was good enough for Jehovah.

  5. I've just completed an SECR 5 plank kit for my cakebox entry and now thinks it looks rather good behind my H class, I'm gonna have to build more flippin wagons now!

Only problem is a Dancehall brake would not have been seen with an H class in full lined livery! Sadly by the time the dance hall brake was brought in, the H class would most likely have been in all-over plain grey livery.

It's one of the adverts. Refresh a couple of times and it'll probably come up.

  7. It still amazes in this day and age that there are still people being in employed in customer service roles who when the chips are down are about as useful as a concrete parachute...

Fireline: I've always been of the opinion that any employer offering minimum wage (no matter how menial the work) is saying "I would pay you even less if I legally could!"

  11. When you buy a model online and it arrives, only to find it is older than you are! The box had a sticker "Made in the DDR", which ceased to exist a year before I was born...

  13. Happy Birthday to ME!!!!

  14. Those new Bachmann birdcage coaches in SE&CR livery look rather gorgeous, but £195 RRP for a set of three! Guess I'd better start saving now!

I'm envious of your abilities at lining then! Even with the S E Finecast SECR transfers I'm not particularly happy with mine... They seem rather over-scale.

My main worry would be doing the lining again... and they *are* very nice... Also, they can be got for £150-ish elsewhere but I really ought to support my local model shop.

I've seen plenty of videos - they have a Youtube channel here https://www.youtube.com/user/MiWuLaTV It certainly looks impressive. Definitely worth checking out the Knuffingen Airport videos!

Cheese and onion sandwich, beer, and the knowledge that you don't have to go to work for a week?

Aha, I missed those, thank you! Might be worth starting a thread in the Pre-Grouping section of the forum...

I'd spotted that one, thank you, but sadly only enough for two engines in LSWR livery and a lot of leftover Southern... No joy for SECR or LBSC though!
