Sadly 50 pages of this are people moaning about items on eBay ........

Its weird why everyone seems to be getting hot under the collar for this ...... eBay is there to sell items, one of those APT-Es is mine - I've listed it at the price I paid for it - not looking to cash in, pre-ordered it as soon as it was released and paid the deposit, a few months later I changed my mind but as id already paid the deposit i was bound to buy it as I didn't want to lose £50. If people didn't pro-order the loco which was very heavily publicised, and are prepared to pay a higher amount for it then so be it. As I stated in my advertisement, just looking to recoup my costs - hence the start price - now if someone is prepared to pay more then thats their decision not mine. And yes I could have put a buy it now price of £225 but when you take into account eBay selling fees and paypal fees and postage (its a big heavy box) i'd probably need to sell for around £270 to recoup my outlay - so if someone is prepared to pay more for the item and i make some money then good for me - I'll still sleep at night and the world won't stop spinning. Ebay gets bashed on this forum by a fair few people but at the end of the day its a business and the business exists to make money or it would go out of business very quickly. There are a great many bargains still to be had on the forum and touch wood I have never had an issue with people not paying for items or not sending items I've bought, I've well over 1000 transactions on there and 100% positive feedback - if used correctly it is a very good tool for us model railway enthusiasts especially with rising prices on new products.... Boring !!! - Sorry couldn't resist Actually in all honesty - i would find that boring as its not an era or region / company i model - I prefer dirty diesels but as this forum is aimed at all comers I accept that some releases / models will not appeal to me. As the saying goes - if we were all the same it would be a boring world ...... Time to move on now guys i think ...... Anyone's turned up yet ? P.S. To tell you the truth I have preordered it but to be honest I will probably sell it as I think it was an impulse buy - and no before anyone asks - i shall not be putting it on eBay looking to make a fortune - just recoup what I've paid for it .......... Had a quick hour or so to right a couple of wrongs on the Dapol 73 - resprayed the exec light grey to the correct shade on 102 .... Also renumbered large logo 105 to 129 city of Winchester and added plates and crests ..... Certainly helps the models in my humble opinion ...... Ben

Ok so opening myself up now but here's what I've done with my blue liveried class 73 - this will become 73121 Croydon One dull white roof later and I'm quite happy with it - just got plates and renumbering to do now before tackling my exec liveried one ......

I had a Bachmann 24/1 on preorder - think I may cancel that one if rail exclusive are gonna model it .......... Wonder if Bachmann will abandon the project now ? Might make sense then they can concentrate on something else like the class 90 or the mk2f ?..x

Thanks - one of my First attempts at airbrushing - a so and so to mask but they do look good in that livery - got another one to do at some point - also dos a fictional class 416 as well - will post a pic when I can

Sorry have to disagree there - what are they not being informative about ?? Have ordered a few items from them all done to a good standard and excellent communication .. Dont know what you want to know extra that is not on the website ??

Never ceases to amaze me when I look at your work on this topic -that is one hell of a shed !!!! Rolling stock looks great too - especially when grubbed up !! Am building a good collection of 58s and Large Logo 56s myself - and plan to do a depot diorama as they dont fit in with my scottish region layout - but I love them locos so much !!!!! Keep up the good work and more ... soon !!! Ben
