  1. I just came across this post, what a nice heart warming ending, there are many honest people out there, a lot more good ones than there are the bad ones The human race isn't all that bad, though it is hard not to be cynical in these times with what we see and hear via the media. Well done to all, and i hope Gill gets on the full road to recovery. Best regards for 2018 Craig.
  2. Hello , just to confirm there was ever only one pair of these painted in Refurbished blue stripe livery DMBS 55034 & DTS 56283, I have a picture of them running together in Colin Marden's DMU recognition, I will try and scan in later and put it on here for your perusal. Best regards Craig.
  3. Hello Rod, Season's greetings to all at Ramchester, yes David has done a splendid job on the Kettle thingy whatever class it is , his work and attention to detail is so good it almost makes me want a Steam Kettle . But alas I will stick with the greener environmentally Friendly Diesel engine driven motive power .................... well they where greener till a few years ago Best regards Craig.
  4. Good morning Rod, I have an Easybuild 3 x car kit in the stash, mine is set to be a Bristol Based 1970 all blue set, the parts in the kit do look good, Shawn has incorporated some great brass etches for the roofs full off all the rivet detailing etc, highly recommended. I have a picture in one of my books somewhere showing a 101 set in ex works condition having just been painted Reggie Rail livery in 1990/91, I will try and put it on here for you to drool over, I have to say there where some great examples of Blue / Greys in the 1980's, you could get away some of the Heart of Wales sets with the off set high intensity lights, or a visiting Tyseley blue grey set with black wrap round cab windows & red buffer beams ........ here is Chester set CH641 in a nice colourful hybrid livery. Hmmm decisions decisions !!! Best regards Craig. (copyright Mac Winfield from the WWW.railcar.co.uk website)
  5. The The ... "Infected" is a masterpiece of music, and sadly still very apt in today's troubled times

  6. Hello Rod, oooh that 101 is nice I thought it was an Easybuild kit at first until I read your post, it looks really good with all the added bits, it looks the part, I wish I could have accepted 2 buttons, I clicked funny because your comment at the end made me chuckle, but I would have also liked to have clicked like ...... so I would like to place on record it also a like from me I do like the blue stripe refurb livery .... even though it was never a practical choice of colour for trains !!! Best regards Craig.

  17. I would have thought plenty of power units for preservation locos would have been moved by road, and those power units heading for docks around the country to be exported to far off shores. If not .... rule 1 just model it Best regards Craig
  18. Oh right, have you got some skeletons in the cupboard Andy ? Craig
  19. Hi David, when viewing & listening to the loco coming towards the camera it sounds ok, but when the loco is at the side / parallel with the camera the sounds seems to go a bit mad and mixed, but it could just be these crappy speakers in this monitor, whats the sound like with just one speaker connected ? I can listen with my finely tuned ears tomorrow when I am actually in the room and give a truer opinion then. Best regards Craig.
  20. White and Fluffy Andy ..... if this is to be a North Wales set, most of the Farmers travelling by train will have taken a lover or two with them on their travels ... Bah !!! Best regards Craig.
  21. Andy what’s your PayPal address ? I’ll send the £100 deposit to reserve the B set for when you change your mind in the New Year Best regards Craig
