  1. Is there any point in listing old Hornby/Bachmann boxes on eBay? I see lots for sale but not sure how many people buy them, or if I should just throw it all in the recycling?

When I get a new model, I unpack it and put it into my own stock boxes, then I throw the packaging in the recycling. It saves on space, and means when I need to get a model it's far more easily accessible than being kept in its original box. Of course, resale value drops significantly, but I'm not into reselling any models unless I have absolutely no choice (which has happened). The only exception I make is for limited editions, where I keep the box just in case of resale as that does keep the value up that bit more.

Yes, same. I am not worried about throwing them away, I was asking if I would actually make any money by selling the boxes.
