  1. Hi Chris apologies - it was a typo and it should have read cv 157 and cv 29 the default on V5 Loksound V5 decoder are CV157 = 0 and CV29 = 62 For Legomanbiffo class 20 sound where locos are paired or consisted, set as follows Lead locomotive - CV157 = 1 and CV29 = 31 Rear locomotive - CV157 = 3 and CV29 = 30 I have not got a LokProgrammer but looking at V5 manual, CV 29 is a configuration register and, I believe, determines loco direction. CV 157 is part of the CV suit 155-170 where sounds can be selected and assigned to different projects. Anyway - I have used these two settings on my 20s and they work perfectly in consist with lead loco starting first followed by trailing loco start up. With regard to speed matching, I have not had a problem other than when trying to start the locos moving too soon. As one lags behind the other on start up you need to give them time to settle in tick over mode and then they do start moving together OK. Hope that helps John
  2. Hi Chris I always use my DRS twenties paired nose to nose. Both my locos have Legomanbiffo V5 Plux 22 decoders. on the instructions you can download from DC Kits website there is some interesting information at the bottom of the sheet below the function table. Change CV159 and CV29 as suggested for lead and trailing loco and when locos are consisted the lead loco starts first followed by trailing loco. Also, horn only sounds on the loco that is leading. regards John
  3. Hi Chris I run my two sound 20s nose to nose in tandem no problem. I use the ESU ECoS decoder, what are you using? John
  4. That is a shame - not that I want to see the back of the HST sets as still most comfortable for travel!
  5. Wonder if we could see them replace the Scotrail Inter7city HST sets??
  6. Any news on the Phoenix one please McC regards John
  7. Hi Chris I had same problem but did manage to get improvement by changing CV32 = 1 and then CV259 = 255 hope that helps John
  8. I still think that there are some really good locos that have yet to see a super detailed example manufactured or, indeed, never manufactured. Hawksworth County D49 B16
  9. Any news on the FNA-D wagons? wondered when we might expect them to be delivered? Or will they be after all Caroline orders sorted?
  10. I am having a real problem getting all the light functions to work on my Caroline so have emailed Revolution. All lights function on DC but cannot get the sole bar or tunnel lights to work on DCC. I have installed a 6 function AE decoder and then an 8 function Dapol Imperium and no joy on either. I am swinging toward a possible problem with PCB in the coach.
  11. Hello again Changed decoder for an 8 function Dapol Imperium and still no joy with sole bar or tunnel lights! Am I doing something wrong? Regards John
  12. Hi Butler Henderson Cannot seem to get the solebar or tunnel lights working and I am using a 6 function AE decoder (DCC Concepts). All the 4 dip switches underneath the coach are in the on position and instructions don’t say any should be changed. Is that the same configuration you have on your model? Regards John
  13. Got to be a ROG 37 hasn’t it? 😀😀
  14. I have used the Railtec Models water slide transfer decals for kick plates and they look good John
  15. Received my pack A yesterday and the FNA - D wagons are awesome. Many thanks Accurascale Team - your standards are superb as is your value for money. John
  16. Any news on the status of the Large Logo variants please? I have 37402 on order. Thank you and regards John
  17. Hi Chris i have now changed over all my HAA couplings and my BBA/BLA couplings to Hunt Elite pivoted couplings and they run great. I had the added problem of a helix at each end of the layout so had to change from the poor tension locks. John
  18. Have you tried a cotton bud that has been dipped in 10% diluted IPA and then dipped in T Cut? Works quickly on Bachmann printed decals, just used on two DRS class 20 bodies. john
  19. Good morning all I currently have 3 class 37s from Accurascale, one of which was factory fitted sound and for the other two I purchased sound decoders and Accurathrash speakers from Accurascale. on running the locomotives I notice the volume on both the self fitted sound decoders and speakers are not as loud as the factory fitted one. I have checked CV 63 and both match the level set on factory fitted as 192. Has anyone else noticed this difference and if so, have you managed to sort out the difference? John
  20. Exactly the same situation with the new class 47 - it would not have required rocket science to come up with an answer!
  21. Because I already have 16 Hattons 66s, was not going to get any more but could not resist 66004 Climate Hero so duly ordered from my local model shop 😃😃👍👍
  22. Hi McC Not sure if the question has been brought up before, forgive me if it has. I get the idea that the V5 sound decoders installed in your class 37 locos have been specifically produced for yourselves by ESU (Even my ESU ECoS cannot recognise decoder as a V5 Loksound!) Are all the CVs the same as a normal V5 Loksound decoder or do they differ on your ESU V5? Regards John
  23. Personally, I do not think Dapol get the accolades they deserve for these locos. When they first came out, there was not another rtr loco to match them. They are superbly detailed and have excellent haulage capacity.
  24. Hi I use liquid Brasso or T Cut on a cotton bud and gently rub away. Leaves a perfect shiny area to apply replacement decal and then seal with a flash over of satin varnish with air brush and you cannot tell loco has been re-numbered. John
