  1. Was he on the poop deck?
  2. Evening all from Estuary-Land. BIN day tomorrow so I will have to get the bags out ready tonight. Not being interested in kick-ball I can find nothing of interest on the goggle-box so now to catch up with Farcebook.
  3. If you want to see plenty of classics in everyday use I'd recommend 'The Plank' starring a host of British comedians and actors.
  4. Afternoon all from Estuary-Land. The young man came round and gave the lawn a shave at lunchtime but first I had to cut back the council shrubbery over the path leading to the back gate, otherwise he couldn't get his mower in. Had a late lunch but I wasn't feeling hungry so I might be having a late dinner.
  5. Mother nature, red in tooth and claw. If you are a wildlife enthusiast you come to accept that some wildlife kills other wildlife in order to survive.
  6. I thought that was the alternative title for Naked Attraction.
  7. Morning all from Estuary-Land. Had a bit of Arthur Itis and Si Attica this morning but they soon went but Nurofen has been deployed in case they want to have a comeback. Thats been going on for years now. About 25-30 years ago the local hospital had achieved a (well deserved) reputation for bad service. A local newspaper ran an opinion poll on the hospital but the hospital employed a full time press officer on a large salary who promptly went around asking people to give the hospital a good report. As one local councillor said they want medical doctors not spin doctors. Fortunately the local paper got wind of what was going on.
  8. Problem is that most of the items I would want to save are too large or heavy. Principle item would be a glass fronted display cabinet that was made by my cabinet maker grandfather c. 1920. Not only is it very heavy but it is used to display some of my Dinky Toy collection.
  9. I can't remember the name of the series now but there were two lady detectives* who also went around in an old Land Rover. *IIRC they were actually gardeners who solved murders in their spare time.
  10. Evening all from Estuary-Land. Just realised that a program I wanted to watch this evening has been and gone, I forgot all about it, I'll have to watch it on catch up. I possess quite a few family heirlooms as well as some other antiques that are irreplaceable and I would hate to loose them. I just can't imagine losing everything like that.
  11. One for NHN? Was he on the poop deck?
  12. I understand that they are in an urn buried in the garden. The marker for were they were buried is destroyed
