    Hello Corbs, its a Hornby R7229, a very rudimentary set up. I've already dispatched the model back to Rapido for a check up, still I suspect if there is a fault its on my end.

    These are very dangerous, I’ll definitely end up helping myself to more than one. I did find one fault @rapidoandy not with the model but with the packaging, the inner tray on the ice cube won’t click closed. But no complaints beyond that. ScR

    HS2 is not a perfect solution, but the enemy of good is not bad, its perfection. A paired back, slowed down, smaller or cancelled HS2 means rail investment in this country is dead for another generation. There is not a politician breathing in this country who's ready to eat the costs of cancelling HS2 and turn around and fund anything else.

    I guess you could more accurately call it the Quantitative Qualification Method, but thats a level of nerdiness that not even RMweb permits.

    Honestly its just a phrase, I don't know where it came from.

    It just means that whoever gets the most votes wins, I.e the biggest single number, its literally the simplest voting system devised. Basically if you had three candidates and 10 voters, then candidate 2 could win with four votes, if the other two both got three. You can see the central complaint here, more votes were cast against the winner than for, but no one candidate was chosen more than the other. So yes, in an FPTP election a candidate can indeed win on eight percent, because its a pure numbers game.

    Mine arrived today James, its absolutely exquisite, one of the most beautiful models I've ever owned. I can scarcely believe that its a first go effort by a small proprietor given that it exceeds the efforts of some of the oldest manufactures in this hobby. ScR

    I really don't understand why no one in Hornby has ever thought to make an Alan Pegler 4472 until now. A main range one would've practically levitated out of the shops.

    Well I was hoping that Live Steam would make a return, but this is just as good, I just hope the data they've based this decision on is solid.
