      It's not hard, it just takes time. If you do get stuck just flag it up on hear.

      Buy one and start a thread. That way you can take advantage of all the advice and help on offer here and it could encourage someone else to have a go at chassis building. Might be wise to start on an 0-6-0 tank chassis first though.

      It really depends on your own confidence with a soldering iron, and being able to keep things square / parallel. If you're able to follow instructions, you shouldn't go wrong.

      you can keep the painting I just engine and carriges, in fact just the engine, I can't afford to be picky

  19. yes I'd say that the HST is definitely far to round, plus I'd say the the angle of the nose is too steep, though that might just be the photo
