Could mean a lot of work if it goes wrong

I use 'UCO 39' Nickel Silver handrail wire from Wizard Models, it comes in packs of 10 and is easily bent to shape. The 'Bill Bedford' bending jig will give you consistant bends in the wire.

Not sure it's the answer for what you are attempting to do, but I use one of these where space is tight....
Now that's a handy gadget!

Would it not be easier using Peco PL 11 point motors

The speaker cable is red and black.
Its not that easy to disconnect droppers as theybare scotch locked onto the speaker cables
I've tried disconnecting these from the bus but to no avail.
Point motors will probably be another cause of my forthcoming mental breakdown!
If you unclip the scotch lock you can get a flat head screwdriver under the blade, at the same time squeeze the scotch lock case closed with pliers, the blade should now pop out the top of the scotch lock case where you can get the pliers onto it and pull it out and free the wires.
The scotch lock can be reused but it need to be placed to the left or right of where it was originally placed.

Sorry I can't offer any help but it might be better to keep the loco off the layout until you discover what is wrong or until you are able to write and read the Cvs
correctly.

That will be around part 4.
There's always the online order...

That's great thanks......something to look forward to, is there a way to find out in advance when each issue is due in the shops or available to order online?

I would be more interested in North East England and Scottish depots.

ok
there'll be a series covering the countries diesel depots, but no, not a monthly mag, but out roughly each 3 months
ok thanks for the info

Is this a Monthly bookazine?

I tried using 'Grip' super glue with an activator and some of the staples still came loose, gave up in the end and went for 3mm Sprat and Winkle couplings.

Does anyone have any experience of DIY extension pins for Peco point motors. I have about 20 motors which I would like to mount sub baseboard without attaching to the points. Pun extensions from Peco are expensive. Ideas welcome.
I got a pack of ten extension pins recently for the cost of an S.A.E

Background My son has let me take over his old layout (started out as a Thomas set
Looks good so far!

Very enjoyable thanks for posting.

The wiring looks pretty straightforward, I would be inclined to use 3 or 5mm Green LEDs with the appropriate size bezels to attach the LEDs to the track diagram.
I would say two LEDs per point are all you need, which ever LED is lit that is the route that is set.
Just the way I would do it
