Excellent work on the wagons!

Just heard that the next edition will cover the remaining LMR sheds (top end of WCML & East Midlands), together with proposed LMR depots not built.
Regards,
P
Thanks for the update Peter

I've seen that. It was a wagon mounted camera wirelessly connected to a tablet. The camera was a small cube that was just within gauge on an OO layout when sitting on a well wagon
Looked very good, but afraid I've no details. Sorry!https://www.polaroid.com/products/cube-plus-action-camera
So it can be done.

Does anyone know when the next issue is due out?

Do you have any pictures or part numbers of said bezels and switches. There may be data sheets with the details.
I will have a look but no pictures

Thanks, yes that is one option

Hi all,
I am soon to start building a control panel with track diagram, my question is what size holes do I need to drill to fit 3mm led bezels and sub miniature toggle switches. I cant seem to find the info I need.
If anyone has fitted these any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Hi Michael
At the risk of stating the obvious - there is nothing to stop you only using as much of the downloaded design as you need - front or back as required.
One of the great things about John's designs is that they are very easily customised to suit.
Regards.
Thanks Bill, the thought never even crossed my mind about doing that!

Great work, I love the interior.
I wonder if 'low relief' versions might become available at some point?

The XL cartridges are the same physical size as the standard ones so they fit into the carrier. Somehow the XL cartridges contain up to 3 times more ink. I'm not sure if the standard ones are underfilled or if there's some bizarre magic going on here.
I had a Lexmark printer a few years back, I got a duo pack of cartridges from Asda, both cartridges were sealed in their little bags and boxed with an alarm tag on the box, upon installing them in the printer they were both found to be empty!
Your theory on the HP cartridges may well be right.
-
All this time I have been using the standard size cartridges, I had seen the 301XL but never thought they would fit my printer, typical!
-
I have an HP printer but not sure which model it is, it uses 301 cartridges, are the 301XL cartridges the same size (dimensions) as the 301?
Thanks in advance

The track weathering and the footbridge are excellent.

How would I go about checking if the wheels are quartered properly?
-
Does it look like the wheels are binding, does it 'catch' at the same point on each revolution or is it random?
#
If the same place then the wheels might not be quartered correctly and the slop in the system 'corrects' the misalignment in one direction but exacerbates it in the other causing the binding.
From what I can see it looks to be random.

I was thinking of Railtec Transfers?

I have a Heljan Class 14 which runs perfectly in one direction but jerky in the other direction, I have had the wheels out cleaned the wheel backs and pick-ups and bent the pick-ups slightly to give a better contact on the wheels but to no avail, looking at the loco on my rolling road the 'jackshaft' has a lot of sideways movement as the wheels are turning, this seems to due to excessive play.
I thought this might be the problem but as stated the loco runs fine in one direction despite the sideways movement of the shaft.
If anyone has any idea what might be causing this running problem I would be very grateful to know please.
Thanks in advance

Hi all,
I noticed a strange problem this morning when trying to reply to a post, simply put the spacebar on my laptop doesnt work when replying to posts. It works fine if I 'Reply Quoting This Post' and it also works fine when sending PMs.
I have had to copy and paste this message using MS Word.
I can type emails ok and MS Word is ok as well as any other typing application.
Has anyone come across this before?
Thanks in advance
Michael
New Heljan Class 14 NCB No 4 (1411)
in Modelling Questions, Help and Tips
Posted
Hi all,
Does anyone know if the new Heljan Class 14s run any better than the previous models when fitted with a sound decoder? I ask because I have one of the older NCB Class 14s fitted with a sound decoder and stay alive which runs poorly in one direction.
Despite getting some great advice here on RMweb the loco is still not running right, could be tempted to get the newer model if it will run better.
Any advice on this is much appreciated
