  1. Just looked up "Planking" seems pretty harmless fun, however have you ever met an H&E person with a sense of humour - a rare beast as everything is a potential risk to them! Xerces Fobe
  2. Do you work in IT Peter as this looks so pointless and sadly familiar? PS. I have yet to see a successful transformation programme as the goal posts (sic) keep moving! Xerces Fobe
  3. At a former employers "Team Day" we had the usual spiel about targets and Health & Safety - 3 accidents was the target for the year, In the afternoon we played baseball and one of my colleagues twisted his angle and he was taken to hospital which meant we were only one accident away from meeting the target! - no "Team Day" the following year though. The department then had a target to come up with 1500 Safety Kaizens the next year as well which achieved nothing more than a spreadsheet and a tick in the box. I along with a couple of colleagues volunteered to be a First Aiders but they could not find anyone to run the course so it never happened. Meanwhile people were being made redundant at a steady rate - You couldn't make this up ...................... Xerces Fobe
  4. Croxley Wiggenahall Road Depot based on the former BR Croxley Green Depot has 1938 stock and some other visiting items such as L11 with a Sarah Siddons awaiting building and a rake of Q Stock in the pipeline. Xerces Fobe

  10. Langley Berks- Tanks long gone 3 sidings still in situ one with withdrawn freightliner flats sitting in one of these sidings with trees growing through the wagons!. Loop from mainline still in use for running around aggregate trains from the Colnbrook (former Staines West branch). Re Staines West I think all the trackwork from the former oil terminal there has gone will have to check next time I am in that area. Xerces Fobe.
  11. With Graham Farish 57 ft suburbans now available should give you another Class 501 option.

    Regards,

    Nigel.

  12. Hi Rick,

I have found memories of green Western National buses and the quirky Grenville Motors buses in Falmouth. I suggested to Nigel Tregoning of Falmouth MRC that I would do something different for this years Three Spires Railex - so having a lot of Western National/Royal; Blue buses I thought a diorama based on Falmouth Bus garage would be just the thing. Regards, Nigel

  13. Thanks for your help with Falmouth Bus Garage photos

  15. 1938 tube stock having reliability mods implemented - following help and advice the the the God of tube train modelling John Polley last Saturday at Acton Museum open day. 5 Class 501's now in operation - project to get window bar etches for them under way I found the task of putting over 600 separate bars on the windows ( included another Class 501) rather daunting 1927 tube trailer planned for one of the 1938 tube stock - kit already procured from Phil Radley 6 Cars of assorted District Line Q stock waiting to be built - for special workings that potentially could have but did not happen i.e. Richmond - Broad Street Watford - Croxley - Euston and the back to Richmond circa 1970 (if only) Oerlkon under construction roof issue potentially resolved - wood is the answer! 18. I was driven nuts by this here is the solution I assume you have deleted the consist (well it does not work always) The Prodigy stores the last 20 locos you have programmed in it's memory stack; if you disconnect or remove the power to the Prodigy and still remembers them. If one of any of the locos have been in a consist they may not work on their own any more and you will have trouble setting up another consist. To overcome this issue delete all the loco numbers in the memory stack one by one and then things will return normal! As I said earlier in this thread this was the final straw for me and I now have a PowerCab/ProCab system that I really like! Good Luck, Xerces Fobe
  19. I got so fed up with my Prodigy with all the problems I had with it I that I purchased an NCE PowerCab in my opinion a much better piece of kit. I still use the Prodigy for programming and testing only. Xerces Fobe
  20. Exclusive - Crane driver training at Newport Docks! http://www.break.com...m-crane-1925194 Xerces Fobe
  21. I have 2 insulfog code 75 double slips on my layout and don't have any real problems with them with DCC Photo courtesy of Daniel Floyd Xerces Fobe
  22. I have 5 of these sitting in my cupboard and even converted one to centre headcode. Agree with all the above comments, however in there day they were sort after and at one point would command a price of@ £80 each! Xerces Fobe
