  1. If Dapol produced the Mk3 sleeper I would have to buy a bulk supply of Trisonic's Anti froth wipes! (Pete.. You will make more dosh from those wipes than you ever made in music! lol ) I'd buy sleepers because I can't see the "other lot" retooling theirs and I refuse to buy their current offering because IMHO its not an acceptable model.. ( can of worms now fully opened!) Are the SLE and SLEP the same body shell? I would also buy the BFO if it was offered but I can't see it because there were only 3? built. I would buy 4 of each sleeper in Blue/grey, Executive and Swallow livery though. Food for thought Dave? Cheers Mark
  2. I think think the simple answer to that one would be tooling costs. I heard a slide for the moulding of the nose clips on the western would cost thousands, so at that rate you would need a small fortune to make slides for all the 56 variations. Which would only push up the price we pay. To me, the Farish 56 didn't look like a 56, however, in my opinion, the Dapol 56 looks like a 56 and although it may take some work to accurately model the variations for your particular loco, it is an excellent starting point. Personally i can't wait to get my mitts on them! Cheers Mark
  3. Rails have done the same and have it as red stripe railfreight too.. Mark

Dapol did provide light to all holes, its just the actual discs don't have holes to allow the light through. Cheers Mark

I got the blue one (26026) and noticed the problem with the discs too.. but there were no snowploughs with mine. Overall I'm really pleased with mine, well done Dapol. what is nd145g? I just hope I've not missed one! Cheers Mark

    Class 26

I found an announcement for 2 class 26 loco's on a retailers website, nd145f 26026 br blue with ploughs and nd145h d53xx br green, which has now been removed from the site. Joel announced on facebook that new class 26's should be with retailers now and i found a green (nd145h) one on ebay. so, a couple of questions... 1. Are these two loco's available to purchase? 2. What is nd145g? 3. Are any photo's available? Cheers Mark

Dapol have said they will be producing executive livery mk 3 coaches as single coaches next year. Nothing about a matching buffet car yet though. Mark

I'm another one looking forward to Dapol's reply on the executive coach issue. I notice Hattons are listing two executive livery second class mk3 coaches for the HST. Will they be produced in the correct livery? and will we be able to make up a full executive livery HST set? and what about executive livery loco hauled mk3 coaches? Mark

yes they do but you will need to carefully remove the buffers with a sharp scalpel. HTH Mark

The yellow should also be higher round the nose end because there should be a yellow area between the light cluster and the white stripe. Does this make the red/white at the rear of the power cars fractionally too low? I'm a little dissappointed about the wrong coaches, I was hoping for a full executive livery set but I had noted that Dapol have not announced an executive livery buffet car although Hattons and Rails are showing 2 trailer second coaches in executive livery still to be released. At least these two coaches in the executive set mean I only need the TGS and buffet for a full swallow liveried rake now. Overall, excellent, roll on the 26 and 56. But a 50 would be fab! Mark

When did that happen? I was reading "britain's model trains 2011" last night and that says they are going to produce the twin packs too.. maybe if Dave gets a chance he could clarify this issue for us. Mark

they are showing on ehattons website as both types, book sets with power cars and coaches and packs of just the two power cars. nd111a, nd111b, nd111c and nd111e are the 2 power car packs. nd122a/b/c/d/e/f/g are the book sets including 2 coaches. hope that helps Mark
