  1. So the Mk2a should be 0.16mm lower than the Mk1 but in Farish' case it is over a mm different and quite noticeable. When you look at a photo of a real Mk1 and Mk2a coupled together the height difference is not noticeable. Cheers Mark
  2. That Glasgow QSt- Colchester train wouldn't have carried BFPO mail. All BFPO mail went via London stations, collected by Postal and Courier services Royal Engineers and taken to BFPO London in Mill Hill. This was known to the post office as Home postal Depot. Cheers Mark

  6. It is no good them chucking everything out at once though because most people have a budget for their hobbies. This would mean they would have stock sitting unsold on shelves if they are not careful. Still, they must know what they are doing! Cheers Mark
  7. I know what you mean.. they are a royal pain in the butt! I had to swap my wheelsets around but I now have a Mk2a bso that is unusable.. never had the problem with a Mk1 though.. Cheers Mark
  8. The only thing I can see that is wrong with these is the receiver socket for the multiple working jumpers.. Other than that they look superb! Cheers Mark

    Dapol class 86

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but does anyone know where I can obtain some RCH? jumper cables for the class 86/4 Dapol have produced. I know they have the TDM cables but the seem a bit nude without the rest of the plumbing! Cheers Mark
  18. I believe Dave Jones commented on this years ago while he was still at Dapol.. He said measure the pockets and see who got the size correct. if I remember rightly! Cheers Mark
  19. I think that Hattons estimated their prices back in 2013 when a Mk1 coach was around £16 to purchase from them.. 5 years later costs have risen astronomically so the estimate that was way out of date had to be radically altered when the RRP was announced.. I'm so glad I'm not a retailer! Cheers Mark
  20. Hows about a price reduction? Cheers Mark
  21. The 86 will be in Executive, not swallow livery Jez. Cheers Mark
  22. Hi David, Excellent work so far, I'll be following your thread from now on.. You are modelling the period directly following what I model (82-92) so I'm probably going to be cribbing some of your ideas! Cheers Mark
