Totally agree JB.. The first Dapol IC DVT's were not far off the same colour as the early mk3 coaches in IC livery though. Then Dapol changed to the Dark grey/black for the MK3's which only became available with the latest batch as loco hauled IC liveried coaches. So I've got my fingers crossed the colours on the new DVT are close so I can run them together without something standing out as being the wrong colour again. It seems to me that the brown shade of upper band colour Dapol used originally was supposed to be Executive Dark Grey, Whereas the darker, almost black shade is supposed to be Falcon Grey which is correct for Intercity Livery but the wrong shade for Executive livery. Maybe I should get some more of the early release coaches and redo them as an executive livery rake... Hopefully the TGS coaches will match what is currently available.... Cheers Mark

It looks like it is a photo of one of the first run DVT's with the new number photoshopped on it, hence the brownish tone, probably made worse by dodgy lighting.. Cheers Mark

I noticed Dapol have added a disclaimer under the photo now: "Photo is not of production sample and is for illustrative purposes only" Hopefully it will match the latest mk3 coaches... fingers crossed... Cheers Mark

Fox transfers sell the correct livery embellishments plus the correct size numbers for executive livery coaches which are the same size as standard coach numbers but black. The small numbers printed by Dapol are only correct for swallow livery. HTH Cheers Mark

Nc053e is a more chocolatey dark grey nearly executive dark grey and its a lot blacker nearly falcon grey on the newer coaches plus the more recent swallow livery coaches have black roofs. hope that helps. cheers Mark

I can't find the link right now but a couple of days ago I found a picture of a class 55 deltic with a scratch set of blue/grey Sc prefixed mk3's on an edinburgh-Kings cross additional at York. When I find it again i will post the link here. Looks like you may have a bigger market than you first thought 87029! Thats two sets I need now.. My poor wallet... I think it is the printed sides that scratch easily and they look like a plastic tube to me.. it is a personal thing I think. I just don't like them... I currently run Farish Mk1 and Dapol Mk3 and will add to the coach fleet as models get updated.. Hopefully Mk2 D/E/F coaches aren't far away. Cheers Mark
