  1. Some very atmospheric photo's there Mark, Keep them coming! Enjoy your break, any chance Shrewford will migrate north of the border? I think it would look good with a push/pull set in the platform! Cheers Mark
  2. Looks good to me! Well done! Cheers Mark
  3. Love the progress, keep up the good work Mark.. Cheers Mark
  4. Looks like the SYP 31 has sold out and maybe the SYP 55 is close to selling out as it is still showing as in stock at Barwell. Maybe they saw it as pointless putting them in the catalogue if they can't supply, alternatively they just forgot to put them in the catalogue? Cheers Mark
  5. I Think Ben chose the wrong coach to illustrate his point.. When the Mk1 SK coaches were released as "Blue Riband" they were catalogue number 374-061, The latest release should have been 374-061C but Farish decided to use the old catalogue number from the previous printed side models, even though they were told as soon as it was spotted. That is still 4000 coaches though. Cheers Mark
  6. Excellent stuff Mark.. Good to see it coming along nicely.. Love the platform canopies Cheers mark
  7. Good to see you back Mark.. Good luck with this one.. If it is anything like the others it will be fantastic. Keep the updates coming.. I need ideas for the box room that is now mine! Cheers Mark
  8. I only have Bachmann made loco's and have suffered split gears in Class 60's and 47's. My loco's are mainly stored in their boxes, kept indoors in a heated room and test run occasionally Cheers Mark.
  9. hmmm... I tried sorting it with washers and ended up losing a bogie pin to the carpet monster... that's kind of put me off trying again.. Cheers Mark
  10. Changing the bogies makes no difference either..

    class 33

    Excellent news about the rubbing plates.. Thankyou! As regards paint colours, I read an article in a magazine that stated the depot foreman sent an apprentice to Woolworths for some yellow paint because Willesden depot had ran out of yellow to paint the ends of an electric loco! Cheers Mark
  12. An N Gauge one for me please Dave! Cheers Mark
  13. Guys and Dolls.. Dapol have published the latest CAD drawings on their Dapol digest forum and have asked for constructive feedback before this CAD is committed to tooling.. So any Class 50 guru's amongst us, can you please have a good look at these drawings and see if we can help Dapol make their Class 50 better than the Dapol western. I've been playing spot the difference with photo's but I'm sure there are some on here who know far more than me.. Cheers Mark link to class 50 page- https://digest.Dapol.co.uk/forum/n-gauge-models/diesel/class-50-n/project-managers-blog-al/309-n-gauge-class-50-development
  14. Hi Steve. The truck looks really good. Have you thought about swapping the second axle for another one of the front ones you have used? The axle you have used as the second axle is a driving axle and these trucks have two steering axles, like you used for the front axle at the front because they are horrible for turning corners in! Cheers Mark
  15. From the Farish catalogue it looks like the loco is 47581 'Great Eastern'. The OO one is 576 'Kings Lynn'. Cheers Mark

    Dapol HST

    I remember walking through second class and into the buffet car at the counter end and the seating area was always next to the first class on the ecml. This was 1983-1990 so only a single buffet car. I think it was so the first class passengers didn't have to mix with the riff-raff when they ordered their meals! Cheers Mark

    class 33

    Is it possible they are the first batch and the deleted ones will be released later like they did with the class 56? Otherwise they could risk flooding the market like they did with the 66's. Cheers Mark

    Dapol HST

    Hi Tom. The Dapol coaches are a pretty good match to the HST power cars. The locomotive hauled coaches are a good match to the Dapol 86 too and ideal for a WCML rake. As Robert said roof colours are a weak point and I sprayed all mine with Halfords satin black spray paint on a light coat of their grey plastic primer. If you are renumbering coaches for an HST rake then it might be an idea to use all HST coaches which would save the job of removing the buffers. The plastic used for them is a little hard but brittle and if you are not careful it is possible to slip when they come off and damage the coach body. Cheers Mark

    These look good ... anyone seen my wallet??? Cheers Mark
  20. I believe the only other suitable renumber for the double flush tooling would be 47614 which would be most acceptable in large logo blue.. Cheers Mark
  21. Good luck with the move... Cheers Mark
  22. I thought it was going to be 47576 "Kings Lynn" in the pack? Cheers Mark
  23. Nah... Dave has been nicking pictures of the real thing again.. There is no way a model could look that realistic! Excellent Dave! Cheers Mark
  24. Yes they did but Farish are doing the Mk2f and these were Mk2d... Cheers Mark
  25. Great news about the NSE 321 but not so good about the 320 for me, although I understand and agree with the compromise, reason being I only model BR and not privatisation.so neither of the later liveries are suitable. Looks like Scotrail will be getting 321's on loan!! Cheers Mark
