I thought normal GW practice was that it was all down to the frames, if it has the original frames then it is still the same engine, everything else was interchangeable.

Most GW trains were made up ad hoc, the carriage working notice would specify what was required, but not the specific diagram of coach, this was down to what was available to whoever was marshalling the train. 70 foot coaches would be specified as such, if required in the train and were mostly used on west country expresses. On a few occasions such as the introduction of the 70ft coaches for the South Wales expresses and the introduction of the Centenary stock for the Rivera would trains have uniform stock and that didn't last very long, as the sets got split and remarshalled.
Have you looked at the Keen Systems close coupling system?

Can I suggest that the next time you visit the opticians you get some x3 whatever your prescription is, I saw the the recommendation on the Scaleforum site and it makes a big difference, it takes some getting used to and they are a lot lighter than an optovisor.

Did that result in decongestion? (genuine question). I ask because there is political debate here about whether the recently expanded Copenhagen Metro will actually lead to decongestion. The argument is that it only frees up space for private vehicles = more private vehicles.
Ah yes, at 3:53. 1903 seemed quite early to me, but it seems that while there were only 14-15 cars in the UK in 1895, there were 7-800 by 1900 (according to this page).
Obviously it didn't relieve congestion, or if it did only for a short while.

From that, it's easy to see how the Met and the Hammersmith and City lines prospered and the various subsequent lines.

I use a black laundry marker for the mouldings, as when I used a brush and paint the result was rubbish and I stripped it all off and started again.

He also attends a few shows, usually Scaleforum North, ExpoEM,Wells and Scaleforum, he may also do shows in the North East near where he lives.
You may get a better response if you start a thread rather than a blog.

Is it an Alps printer or something different?
If it's something different, can you please put what it is in the ANTB thread. Thanks.

Should also be linked from ANTB. Excellent by the way.

I have just picked up on this superb piece of work, it looks fantastic.
If it's of any use I have contacted Alan Docherty of Worsly Works to see about getting some etches for the Plymouth 2 coach set auto trailers Dia Q & R in 4mm, if this successful you may be able to get him to do them in 2mm.
