Geoff Endacott
I have updated the list of traders to remove R G Connor Signs & Graphics and add first reserve, Truetexture Ltd. R G Connor has been withdrawn from the show due to the simple reasons of not returning the booking form on time and not paying! I said that we were full... 37114
Gladstone Road now has signage fitted to the Station platform so is no longer anonymous...
Geoff Endacott
The layout may even have its name on the front - once we have decided whether the panels should be painted Rail Blue or Grot Black. Geoff Endacott

Geoff Endacott
The exhibition guides are nearly ready. Would anyone be interested in ordering one in advance? I can do the same deal as last year which is a ticket and a guide for £6.00 with no charge for postage. Geoff Endacott
Geoff Endacott
Ticket applications are coming in and the guides are nearly ready to go to press. If any members want to buy a guide in advance please let me know. Geoff Endacott
Geoff Endacott
After a lot of editing the guide is now ready to go to press. I have deleted all references to imaginary layouts. An imaginary layout may be easy to set up, but I think the paying public expect to see rather more for their money. Geoff Endacott
Geoff Endacott
Why do people leave it so late to buy tickets? Second class post seems to take up to a week each way and the last item I sent by first class post has vanished! It would help if all RMweb ticket applications were in this week. PM for details. RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted March 26, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 26, 2012 Geoff Leaflets didnt turn up over the weekend or even in todays post. Ian
Geoff Endacott
We obviously need to allow at least a week for first class post. It's just as well the layouts aren't arriving by Royal Mail. Geoff Endacott
RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted March 27, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 27, 2012 Geoff Leaflets turned up today in a clear plastic bag with a note that the envelope had split. I haven't seen it my self yet but am told it looks like its been well and truly abused. Ian
Geoff Endacott
That's another claim I will be making for delayed and damaged post. I wonder if all the tickets I have sent out over the last two weeks are going to arrive. Geoff Endacott
Geoff Endacott
That's it! It's too late to change anything now. The exhibition guides are being printed. We are now on target to have them on sale at the Shepton Show this coming weekend. Geoff Endacott

Geoff Endacott
The increase in postal prices will have an effect on advance ticket sales. A lot of shows seem to give discounts of just £1.00 for advance tickets. If you have to send an s.a.e. with your application and second class post is 50p each way, that's a postage cost of £1.00 to save precisely £1.00. We give a discount of £2.00 for Trainwest so it is still worth doing - and you do get to bypass the main queue on Saturday morning as well. RMweb Premium Mike Bellamy Posted March 29, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 29, 2012 you do get to bypass the main queue on Saturday morning as well. At Derby our Exhibition Team considered advance tickets but decided it wasn't worth the bother of dealing with banking the cheques and having to post the tickets out. We go outside and sell admissions to the queue so that when the show opens everyone can go in at the same time without queuing at a pay desk. As a matter of interest, how many advance tickets do you expect to sell? Mike

Mike I think last year we sold about 400 advance tickets - most of them at the venue itself, the local Tourist Information Centre and at model shops. Postal sales are usually fewer than 100 and dropped significantly last year when the Gas Cupboard Models and Hobbies offered online booking via their web site. Geoff Endacott
Even better try this link: http://www.gascupboard.co.uk/?subcats=Y&status=A&pshort=Y&pfull=Y&pname=Y&pkeywords=Y&search_performed=Y&cid=0&q=tw2012&x=0&y=0&dispatch=products.search . They are doing tickets with an additional charge of 50p for postage which is less than paying for a stamp each way. The adult price, including postage, is £5.50. It will be £7.00 on the door. Maybe it's just as well I have only given them 100 tickets to sell! Geoff Endacott
