A little has been done on the Hall, mainly with the tender. I have now got it into it's two basic colours. Just a little tidying up, buffer beam and lining to do. I also have been working on the wheels more of these later. I am still waiting for castings, but it does now seem that they are on their way to me. So hopefully later this month work can restart in ernest on this. I would like to get it out of the way, as it will be financing some wheels for me. I hope we can get some fore my 0395, I also have a Scorpion 850PT that requires some this one may be a mag article. There is also an 08 and the 43xx that could do with sets too.

Here are some pictures of the tender, I thought some before and after ones would be good, just hope you can see which is which. Gun is on the bench and loaded just in case.

Just been discussing things with Castle of this parish and it seems that I may be wrong with the green. It looks more likely to be lined black. So I am pleased I have not done the lining yet!!!

Hi Peter,

That is an amazing transformation. Well done!

I have never heard mixed traffic black described as the wrong kind of green before. Perhaps it should be described in the same way as Stroudley's improved engine green? British Railways improved mixed traffic GWR green?

I'll get my coat...

All the best,

Castle

Excellent work! It's amazing what you can achieve with a little perseverance and determination to make a good'un from a doubtful beginning.
