Right thought I would do my last post on the hall. It is now finished and ready for packing. But I will give it some days before that happens just to give the paint some more time to really go off.

It has been interesting and I am pleased with the way everything worked out. I just hope I can find myself some more bargains like this one. An Adams radial or a T6 would be nice. Either I feel will sit nicely on my layout when built.

I am nearly in need of getting some wheels, As after the 3130 is built I have a few to do but no wheels for them. I have got the parts for the 3130 so that will be back on the bench so still plenty to do.

But back the hall, I will start off the photos with a couple of pictures showing the broadsides.

Next up is the cab which there have been very few shots of.

Next is a piccy showing the bogie mount. There are two side control springs and a slab of whitemetal. There is also a spring between the frames and the bogie. all seems to be OK. goes through a Peco point. You will also see the way the pickups where made and bare on the wheels.

Finally we have just for my pleasure two low down shots see it more the way you would be looking at the real thing. Makes the whole thing have a far greater presents in my opinion, (if that is actually worth anything).

Thanks for all the comments and ratings, it really helps when the modelling process gets tough. I hope that you all will keep enjoy my other builds

Superb. The livery has really turned out very well, just the right egg-shell look, very smooth to behold. I agree about the low-down shots, they not only help create an illusion that you're actually there, but also show off the quality of your build.

I'm amazed at what you have done to this loco. Looking at the first post on this Hall I find it hard to believe that these are the same basic parts. If only all our past mistakes could be redressed like that ! :-)

Every cloud has a silver lining, hard to believe this is the same model after how it looked when you got it ;)

Thanks Mikkel

I used precission satin. Which is one I particulaly like. It certainly came out better than expected.

I am going to treat myself to a couple of unstarted wagons as a treat to myself. As a couple of the last 3 kits I have done have been rebuilds.

Thanks

It just took some digging to fine the silver on this one.

Thanks Sleeper.

The angle in the 5th picture will be easy for me to replicate, because I was using my hand to steady the camera close to the window sill.
