  1. Don't hold your breath Ian - 😉 - I plan to make sure all the stock, track, couplers etc work well before much else is done and fixed down . I may carry on with some buildings etc and I'm making and fitting S&W couplers to stock. I made the mistake on Timsbury Bottom of not really testing everything - including the S&W couplers before I did scenery etc. TB will re-emerge but rebuilt longer with points of at least medium length...( an RUB and a half) Chris
  2. As a former O gauge layout owner (Bakewell Street last year) I know that show organisers do struggle to find suitable O gauge layouts... Chris H
  3. Listen, don't mention model railways. I mentioned them once, but I think I got away with it all right...
  4. How's your Bank Hoiday going Andy.....? :(
  5. I too would be interested...
  6. Indeed - I had a couple of things to pick up from traders at Bristol. Squires were great - I rang up and ordered and then picked up and paid at the show.
  7. I agree- I used to take a long shopping list to shows but the world has changed...we move on and use Paypal...
  8. I don't think they do anymore - I checked their website a while ago....
  9. Indeed - I'm not involved but know enough to say that the organisers have had to deal with a lot of set backs (personal and otherwise) this year and should be commended on putting on a cracking show - and I speak as someone who used to pop in on a Friday on the way back from work (about 5 years ago) and then leave after an hour.... Chris H
  10. They did have lots of paints and I'd also pre-ordered Humbrol sprays from them for collection at the show...they also sell Railmatch if required. Chris H
  11. This is fascinating - and also includes some great 1930's shots of the Overhead Railway in Liverpool...plus the docks and liners - my father was a Master with Canadian Pacific in the 1960s so a tenuous family link as well

Exactly - my older eyes really appreciate well lit layouts.
  13. Not via Railcam but my photos....click on the Coal Tank...
  14. My Photos from Friday are here- click on the wagons... They are of variable quality - my apologies - my normally very good phone camera did not seem to like the light in the hall....
  15. It seems to be holding up and forecast tomorrow is decent...I got a clean get away today. I did wear decent boots though as field is long, wet, grass... https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/gcnjwdfjz#?date=2024-05-04 Chris

  19. Peco will supply spare sprues Have you got a picture of the bit you need - is it unique to that kit? Chris
  20. Thanks for the video of Cropper Street. Old Parrock is one of my favourite layouts on the current exhibition circuit. It wa great to see it at SWAG.
  21. Yup- aiming for lunchtime onwards - punting rather than showing off although one or two of my "associates" are in action over the weekend....
