Update on the layout, an end to a era, it has now been sold to my mate, who just lives around the corner, so if i want to play train on it again it's just a short walk away, but with different railroads. -

Conrail fleet is growing, first up is an Ebay bargain(are there really any bargains left) Proto 2000 GP38-2 £41, just needed a service. Second is a U25B from Hattons when they had there sale on £59,again just a service. Both are as new i don't think either have been run, both need decoders, just got to make my mind up, do i need more sound diesel or pair them up with a sound fitted loco. Been a good month so far two new toys and an article in RMC- 155 replies

i've had the same dilemma, on my small German layout i'm building and opted to use small Bachmann couplings with Nem pockets,( to use like Kirby couplings) there more reliable than the European couplers and to me they don't look out of place

Which boards did you use, cost of van hire gone through the roof, think the days of large exhibition layouts are coming to an end, only going to be the larger exhibition that will be able to afford then -
