  1. Splendid news. One of my favourite shows and arguably one of THE best. Rob.
  2. The SE&CR liveried examples are priced high but all liveries seem to be creeping up. However, if anyone is after examples where the valance to the footplate is lined, such as the SE&CR and Southern liveried versions, do make sure you zoom in on any images posted as part of the sale description. Even if left in the box, the packaging can rub removing the very fine lining. Worst case it will reveal the black plastic beneath the paint. Once you see it, the model is ruined as it's the livery that sets it apart. Certainly not worth paying a high price for. Rob
  3. How close did I come to doing something featuring small prairies..........There's something about Kingsbridge. Rob
  4. 48hrs from now, everything should be in full swing........ Hopefully the event will be also be going well. I thank ewe.
  5. That would be good to see and hear, Chris. Thanks. Rob.
  6. Splendid idea, Phil. When you arrive just pop said shortbread into the Senior Chief Executive Lounge......
  7. Should anyone be so disposed to want to wear their user name for identification purposes, I'll endeavour to remember the namebadge kits this year.............. If I do and you do on the day, please remember to return the plastic holders as you leave. I thank you.
  8. Morning JZ. Probably best to drop Brian a quick email as a belt and braces. I was chatting to him yesterday and I'm pretty certain he's bringing his Western plates but just in case...... Rob.
  9. Let's avoid those tricky questions in the future............
  10. Morning all, A flavour of the main hall from last year. You may recognise a few of the usual suspects.........and one or two of the more unusual ones... I thank you.
  11. As one who enjoys doing a bit of weathering, that is truly first class and something to aspire to. Rob.
  12. Chris H's ( @Gilbert ) Cropper street features in the current edition of Railway Modeller, an excellent article. Come and see what all the fuss is about for yourself.
  13. Great. Make sure there's something for Ellie as well.
  14. Carry on Old Boy. It will be lovely to see the three of you.
  15. Nice to see, Alex. Upwell Drove was one of the inspirational layouts behind Ewe. In fact, it helped to kickstart my interest in all things East Anglian branchlineage
  16. Oh and as if I'd forget............ As Gwen tells us, 7, YES, 7 days to go. In fact the hall will be a veritable hive of activity with multiple erections as layouts are placed in accordance with the carefully conceived floor plan. Which reminds me...........
  17. Morning all, This morning we highlight the last of our demonstrators, Stu Hilton aka your own, your very own @Stubby47 Stu is a fixture at SWAG and no members day is complete without him. To locate him within the hall, just follow the trail of chocolate cake crumbs to his table. If you have a need for a bespoke build then Stu is your man. He can obviously be chatted to on the day or contacted via the internet.... https://www.stubby47.com/ Here are a few examples of his trade. Sit down and have a chat because that's what he's there for. Rob
