Eh? there's nowt to say that the items in question aren't going to turn up at Bachmann until the 30th day, so it is quite possible that they will be in stock at Rails within the next 30 days.
But equally theres nothing to say they won't. Rails would be better saying Bachmann expect to have received the following models in the next 30 days and we will be receiving stock therafter.
-
Had two emails both of which cannot be right. One from Bachmann with a link to models which they are due in the next 30 days and one from Rails with a link to the same Bachmann models they expect to have in the next 30 days. Now unless there is some immediate Star Trek like transporter between Barwell and Sheffield, Rails what they expect to have in the next 30 days needs to be a few days longer.

As Bachmann products they need a clear obvious branding to say they are not 4mm OO / OO9. There were stories of people buying Lyddle End buildings thinking they were 4mm because it said Hornby on the box. NG7 clearly does that which 0-16.5 might not to some.

Wonder what Hornbys reaction would be if someone sent them a payable invoice for the time and materials used to correct it.

Ivatt 2MT tanks were push-pull fitted (or at least some were), presumably a different mechanism to that used by the Maunsell sets?
They were used with the push pull sets but only as loco hauled stock with the Ivatt running round.

Whether or not the 2P was 100% ready to go when transferred to Palitoy, its DNA and the shared 4F tender drive unit were pure Airfix. The couplers and the way they were attached bore no resemblance to the way Mainline did things.
Airfix were also developing other items that got cancelled along with the Compound, notably an SR Schools. It's also likely that Bachmann's Bulleid and Collett coaches, the Queen Mary brake van, and possibly the Lord Nelson had their earliest roots with Airfix.
The cancellation of the Compound was only a few months before Airfix went out of business and both it and the 56 were surprise announcements by Mainline/Palitoy, neither having been mentioned previously. It could have been a case that the agreement with Kader was approaching renewal and Palitoy wanted to explore the other manuafacturing option that had opened up. Tooling the 2P was clearly made than much simpler with the 4F tender available. Pat Hammond in British Model Trains Catalogue only notes the Stanier all 3rd (subsequently released by Replica in 1990) and the 12 wheel diner (subsequently released by Dapol in 1985) as having had work started on. The Lord Nelson, which Bachmann released in 1992, was being developed by Palitoy, the Bachmann Bullieds of 1993 were planned Airfix who had produced some sample models, the Collett coaches were released by Mainline/Palitoy in 1983 and sold out quickly, Replica having batches made in 1987 and 1989 before they were released in the Bachmann range in 1991. The Queen Mary brake van was planned by Palitoy for 1985 eventually arriving as a Bachmann model in 1996.

Don't forget that Airfix also offered a pretty fair selection of LMS stuff, though the 2P didn't appear until after the range had passed to Mainline.
Airfix had planned a Compound which was pulled when Hornby announced theres. Maybe work was diverted to the 2P but there was no official announcement of it until Palitoys for Mainline. Same with the 56 so maybe Palitoy were exploring alternative manufacuring to the tie they had with Kader which (speculates) may have been approaching the end of teh original agreement.
The J50 with the 08 makes a small mid- late 1950s/early 1960s TT yard layout a possibility.

Releasing the tension of the over centre spring slightly may help. Easy to do with older Peco points with the over centre spring on top and slight pushing away of its mount from the tie bar

Train Station.
🥴
Afraid quite commonly used these days. I can understand why - a railway station use to provide a lot of rail based services beyond passengers. Now for the majority getting on and off a train is their sole purpose so a train station.

I'm supposed to be responsible for verifying every buyer on eBay before I buy from them? The item was listed as new. Ridiculous comment.
If it were something expensive like a motor, they'd have a point. But quite clearly this is as part that costs a few pence to produce, so it's pretty mean spirited not to offer to send me some, or even the option to buy. Wouldn't get this nonsense from Rapido or someone with some class.
The issue most manufacturers would have is if its "new" but being sold privately and not by one of their stockists. If its not supplied by one of their stockists strictly it is now second hand and the guarantee only extents to the original purchaser.

i've noticed you cannot get couplings for love nor money for the split chassis 04, tried everywhere
Try cutting down a 36-025 or 36-026 type

Its a constant problem with Hornby that what should be available as a spare part is invariably not, As a manufacturer they are becoming akin to the archtypical box shifter who is not interested in the small bits. Challenged for some bit or other their invariable response is try Peters Spares.

3ft 9 inch wheels so 15mm is correct, until they wear down a bit.

This was after I'd said I bought the pack new on eBay
Who was the seller? Many of the smaller model shops sell on eBay.

Re the "Tubby Duff" I made mind less tubby by rubbing down a slight ridge protrusion in the sides of the chassis and reducing the width of the cab inserts which which otherwise once the chassis had been rubbed down were giving it a dumbbells impression.

Obviously the reference to J94 is regarding an Austerity 0--6-0ST - the 2-8-0s and 2-10-0s did carry the blue livery when on the railway.

A simple case of not proof reading your article before you publish to notice that a couple of instances of 'signal' has autocorrected to 'signs'
Even when proof read such errors may not get spotted as the author may read what they think they wrote not what is actaully on the screen.

The problem was loading bays are typically single sided so a forklift load could only be put in at one end resualted in a unbalanced wagon. A clear example of a design not being thought through properly or did the designer think all loading points had operative wagon turntables,
