  1. Can you provide a photo please? How many will you buy
  2. Ha - had the preproduction 59/1 in my hands in 2018 and pointed this out to them My guess is this one is the same as the 'newer' samples seen at Alexandra Palace earlier this year (2022) and that full production ones are still awaited. At least the ARC/Yeoman ones have darker underframes...
  3. This is better, early days of the ARC fleet
  4. More a hand assembled one - I'm guessing from the batch that were seen at Ally Pally Like I've already said they will just appear - Suez canal passage pending naturally
  5. People love playing with trains on the floor still, so why not this bad boy
  6. Thomas the Tank Engine Ivor the Engine Postman Pat Underground Ernie
  7. Irony is if any RTR manufacturer made things to his standards now, people would be preparing the gallows. The fact people are buying them is strange, is this the British outlook of 'oh well he at least tried'. So what if hes a GBRf driver, hes making stuff thats not exactly amazing and somehow has amassed a devout bunch of 'yes master' followers that could only be previously seen in a Monty Python film. He doesnt accept criticism either, so its best for people not to support him in any way
  8. Magazines say Q4 so thats 'more or less' now until Christmas. Given how long its taken Dapol can be confident at least that people know its coming, it wont be a surprise announcement. Warley is the likely target, but that's just mere speculation, could land in Milton Keynes next month As I've said before 'They will be here when they are here, not before then'
  9. 'Oh look, Hell just froze over'.........
  10. Well the boxshifters said September, heres hoping
  11. Just trying to save people money and potential embarrassment
  12. Makes no difference, even now. Only sells as its in a red box with 'Hornby' on it and a lot of people dont know any better
  13. Its the first time I've read anyone saying DCC Concepts stuff is no good, this also applies to the current range of Rails decoders which are also made by DCC Concepts As outlined, its one thing for 'Angry of Tunbridge Wells' to say they dont like Brand X decoders, but for a 'retailer' on here to say that its different, and the manufacturer is defending their product. Maybe a little excessively, but this is not an Enid Blyton novel
  14. Where are you basing that declaration on? Actual experience, Trevor down the local railway club, or someone with a sponsored youtube channel who obviously will favour a certain one. Bet you didnt know all of the decoders provided by a certain manufacturer are made by Lais either
  15. Dont use Hornby DCC chips, it really is that simple. Not NMRA compliant for starters.
  16. Depending on the box used, it strengthens the cardboard, all depends on delivery methods and how well secured the items are inside too. Loads to be said for bubble wrap and shredded paper, bit of cardboard etc
  17. Did it arrive with the contents intact? As an ebay seller myself thats important, you will hardly be impressed if it arrives damaged or worse....
  18. They look intact, nothing is bashed or broken. I'd be complaining if items were damaged, but not here
  19. Exactly, dont want this turning into wibblefest either, I'm sure Mendip Rail (at the time) knew 003 was available so could have bought it if they wanted. Gives the opportunity of 4 liveries for 003 after FY - DB/FY livery then HHPI and 2 versions of GBRF livery
  20. They need them replaced/reprofiled more frequently due to the creep-control they have to get heavy trains moving, so not a rare spare. Reckon its supply chain issues here alas, now where have we heard that before......
  21. What about Region/Area specific stuff like (deep breath) Classes 21,22,23,26,27, 28,29,33,35,41,42/43,52, 53, 55,59,71,73,74,76,77..... Rule 1..... and if people like a model they will buy them
  22. Doing what they were built for don't forget, still bringing stone from the Mendips to the South East, the 59/2's were originally built for trains to Drax power station and nothing else...
  23. Given its a contemporary livery (along with Hanson, Freightliner and DB Cargo) it should But think about it, when this model was announced first, Freightliner didnt own the 59's, nor were Freightliner owned by G+W.......
