That supersedes the model rail commission anyway. Having had 59003 for haulage on the mainline (GBRF 15 tour) there's a pronounced WHIRR off the traction motors but this wouldn't be a part of the sound recording.....

There was, modelrail mag said they had commissioned one, but you had to show your interest by liking the facebook post instead of popping down a deposit.... Not the best way of doing it. I politely declined given I'd not seen a sample........

How come its taking them over 5 years to get close, its at the decorated sample stage now, pre Covid. I've seen and held the samples and given them fair observations on what needs fixing, this was almost 30 months ago, what's taken so long. Are you a potential customer for potentially several of them? Open Goal - Accurascale Manor perhaps? Its happening. Dont forget that a now defunct manufacturer announced a 59 and then withdrew it...

Dapol digest has said that there is no further progress yet on the 59 and the colours are still left to be approved Its as if the patience of everyone who has keenly waited for this model for the last FIVE years is being tested beyond reasonable limits Open goal for another manufacturer at this rate

Given its a model five years in the making, whats another delay. Getting close to half the time it took for certain kernow models to appear (ok we know why) but 5 years of development it had better be flawless in each and every way
