  1. CAD doesn't cost money to modify (unless you confirm it, then go back and start changing things) but even then CAD is cheap, its all still on the screen and tablet. Changing the tooling is very expensive once its been cut as several manufacturers have discovered be it the model is wrong or a fault with the tooling. Making high quality 3D prints at a 3 figure sum to print is still cheaper than making (or changing) the tooling. Amazing how I knew that and I'm not a manufacturer, surprised this one doesnt
  2. So if he said that everyone should jump out of a 4th storey window to make your life considerably better would you do it?
  3. No - you need to listen to people whose opinions actually matter...
  4. And Ballymoss was an Irish racehorse, making Ballymoss the Irish Deltic....
  5. Hi, will do. Dublin Airport is one of the very few European capital cities without a railway link....
  6. Acquired some Bachmann coaches for the right price, so am severely tempted to make a few subtle changes
  7. The Model Railway Society of Ireland are proceeding with our plans to host our Bi-Annual Model Railway and Hobbies Exhibition, so save the date!!! Venue: Saint Paul's College, Sybil Hill, Raheny, Dublin 5 D05 C673 Ireland Date: October 29th, 30th and 31st 2022. (Sat. Sun. Mon.) We are closely monitoring current Government restrictions and will comply with all instructions issued by them, but for now we are planning to go ahead in October 2022
  8. Nice, are you going to modifiy the Bachmann coaches, ie toilet window and end high level pipes?
  9. Q?? 202?.............. Believe it when it happens.........
  10. Best you do not buy it so, leaves one more for everyone else 😉😉
  11. Theres more than the extra cable, theres an extra window on the body too, which Dapol modelled also. Have patience, they are good at detail, and are finally getting the colours right too
  12. Different base plastic used, they will all be primered before painting/printing. In theory you can make models from any colour plastic, just depends on what their final colour will be
  13. Unfortunate, but at least it has the pods - 73 doesnt have any, be it the T-Aerial or the Pod that some have. A little modelling maybe required, make sure to ask on many facebook groups first should you do it....
  14. I noticed that myself, but zoom in on the photos as a few of them are in different places...
  15. Some photos that were on here posted pre forum issues from Alexandra Palace Whats refreshing is that the marker lights on the 59/0 are now the same size. The ones with Chassis fitted appear to be the earlier prototypes, so don't take too much notice of these, the bare shells are the ones to look at. Looks like a few minor decoration issues and some will always say the BR Warning Panel yellow vs ARC Mustard wont be the same
  16. The '2nd batch' had better electrics, so these will be the same. Not a big deal to fit new ones though
  17. Its a current/contemporary livery, these sell well, people want what they can see running on the mainline right now
  18. Just received an email - 'Missed out on our back catalogue? Well, here's some great news! We have unearthed some previous sold out wagon packs from the early days of Accurascale and they're now back on sale, ready to ship.' Please note that they are very limited in quantities, so it is first come, first served PCA Bulk Cement - Castle Cement Pack K PCA Bulk Cement - Castle Cement Pack L PCA Bulk Cement - Castle Cement Pack M PCA Bulk Cement - Castle Cement Pack N PCA Bulk Cement - Castle Cement Pack O PCA Bulk Cement - STS Pack C PCA Bulk Cement - STS Pack D PCA Bulk Cement - Rugby Cement Pack E PCA Bulk Cement - Rugby Cement Pack F PCA Bulk Cement - Rugby Cement Pack G PCA Bulk Cement - Rugby Cement Pack H
  19. Was nice to see the 3D printed samples in the flesh at Glasgow, shaping up to be a very nice model
  20. They have said repeatedly that they wont offer factory weathered models, they would rather let the modeller do it to the amount/level that they want. Theres a difference between 'road dirt' and 'warhorse in its final days of operation', everyone wants something different, so better for the individual decision to be made
  21. In time I'm sure - like any BR diesel post 1980 theres a myriad of liveries
