Hiya Pannier Tank, its a might have been 'Super Deltic' blog post from a while back here explaining a bit more, just a bit of fun really using up some scrap bodies

Yeah cheap and cheerful, usually just right for all oo locos, and last for ages!
-
Many thanks Bernard, i think ill ill be giving branchlines a ring soon, need to improve the motor to bring it in line with the others, its ok but worthy of improvement/investment.
Aha, Narrow Planet forgot bout them! i think one of the guys from there were doing a layout based on the Gas Works end of the line, think ill give them a shout because as i recall they were also looking to do kis of the hoppers.
As for the Pecket, when i saw it at the south tynedale last year i couldnt get over the size of it! im sure i read somewhere the forward section was a dummy but full of concrete for adhesion/balancing because of the huge overhanging dropped frames for the cab? I may have just made that up though! Tell you what looking at that pic of the full size pecket it makes you wonder how any body fitted into the chopped down cabs for Harrogate locos.

Cheers Corbs, its s good use of some scrap bodies, but it took a lot of filler!

Exactly, who would have put money on that? And with the 37 to 23 cut and shut and 10,000 project anything is possible.
7076 with the western engine did sound bl**dy awsome as i recall!

Hmm interesting stuff, would be good to hear it running in 832 one day maybe then........ Iv heard 832 is off up nymr later this month, will be nice to see and hear it again, last time i saw it it was on east lancs many moons ago.
Cheers for the reply 25901, one to watch out for in the possibly, if, but, maybe, potentially one day category!

Thanks chaps, funnily enough jon it nearly was 57 001 but i thought id back date it slightly, and you cant go wrong with the horses for the east coast! just imagine if EE actually got one off the drawing board..... Might have a look at getting some proper plates made up to finish it off.
Ive got another old lima deltic somewhere so there could be something else appearing one day one if i get round to it.
Thanks again for the comments gents
all the best,

Just got to fing me CD of pics Brian has sent me now...
If you can find some more pics Jone please add them, ill be taking my laptop modelling with me tonight.

Lovely work as usual Jon, them windows and frames really make a diffrence. great reading as always & Nimbus is still looking well, I saw Brian up at Doncaster who helped me empty my wallet for some more deltic bits, just finding the time now to start another one........must be some kind of addiction to the damn things!
Keep good work

Dont think any one could top the detailing youve crammed into every nook and cranny Jon been a pleasure to see it all come together and the wethering finish is superb

Bit of a 'Black Art' is weathering can make or break a model and its such a fine line..media entry sounds intriguing Jon
