  1. From your photograph it looks (at least to my un-trained eye) like the wheel set would lift out. I wonder what is holding it in place? I was hoping that an EM Gauge Wheelset would be drop-in replacement.
  2. See : - https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/112517-cl-finescale/&do=findComment&comment=4334032
  3. Lovely layout; hopefully we will be able to see it out on the Exhibition circuit at some stage.
  4. D5388 later became 27105 04/74 and then 27049 08/83 Wdn 04/87
  5. Maybe the Treasurer will be able to help? EMAIL: treasurer@emgs.org
  6. http://www.brassmasters.co.uk/08_rods.htm maybe worth a look?
  7. Platform 8 & Field Sidings brings back some happy memories. I used to spend many an hour during school holidays Spotting from Platform 8 and keeping an eye on the "Field Sidings" watching 47500 & 47521 and D3795 & D3796 carry out their Station Pilot Duties. If I was lucky, I'd get a ride on the Station Pilot. The most memorable thing I saw in the "Field Sidings" was 46245 City of London when working the daily Crewe to Willesden Parcels dropping off a few carriages. I can still hear the screeching of flanges and creaking of the track as she carried out these duties. Happy Days.
  8. Thank you for the explanation, all understood. I was only thinking operationally and I should have took the "possession" as a whole into consideration.
  9. I think this is the Layout that I saw at the Olney Show quite a few years ago running as a BR Blue Period?
  10. Thank you, I thought that might be the case. I guess the lack of facilities (Signalling / Shunter) prevented running round in Bletchley Yard and reversing to site?
  11. Was that the Basford Hall to Bletchley (Drayton Road Jcn) http://trackit.uppyjc.co.uk/TrackIT/Forms/Train.aspx?DateUid=20201128U34982&AutoRefresh=False&CameFromLocationID=1027&Estimate=False that went via Wembley? If so, was the Wembley trip a run round and positional move?
  12. 08717 was Withdrawn from Haymarket 11/1981 and re-instated 04/83 which ties in with :-
  13. I've noticed the same on more than one occasion and we are not in lockdown here (yet)
  14. The Rear Cabinet was added during Dual Brake Conversions.
  15. It's one of the later builds (08705 onwards) it looks like one of the Knorr-Bremse colours. See http://www.scot-rail.co.uk/page/Glasgow+Works The two Shunters at Knorr-Bremse Wolverton Works were 08629 & 08649 which were of the earlier build. So most likely 08730 is the one in your photograph.
  16. Some glaring errors Page 330. "A Bletchley Bound Service pauses at Fenny Compton" and goes on to say "with a Bletchley to Bedford Service" and "Ampthill in the background"
  17. RMweb running noticeably faster this morning presumably due to "search index is currently processing"
  18. I also intend to to develop a Servo Interlocked Lever Frame using the Arduino to do the Interlocking and Drive Servos for the Points, Signals and Interlock Frame. Phase 1 of this is described here: - https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/150296-moretonhampstead-signalling/
  19. It was Dual Braked during 1982. The Loco was stored Unserviceable LO(u) in May 1982 and re-instated LO August 1982 so it's possible the conversion took place during that period.
  20. The Shunter in the upper picture is Vacuum Brake only and the lower picture is Dual Braked (Vacuum and Air) hence the additional cabinet.
  21. I use an Arduino for Signal Interlocking complete with FPL, see: - https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/150296-moretonhampstead-signalling/
