  1. Hello Steve, Following this thread with interest! Nice to see the individual components before assembly commences.
  2. That maybe so with a Light Engine. However, when the Goods Train is being Shunted, the Train Engine will be in the rear of the Down Home Signal, so the Driver will pass the Down Home Signal in the 'on' position when 10 is 'off'.
  3. Hello Richard, Lever 9 Locks 1,5 & 11 - As Lever 11 Releases 12 you can see that Lever 9 effectively Locks Lever 12 Also Disc 10 has White & Green Aspects so that when Signal 10 is 'on' and Signal 12 is cleared the train doesn't pass a Red Aspect Yes.
  4. No, access to the loop requires Lever 9 (Point) and Lever 10 (Disc) to be reversed. Locking Table https://www.s-r-s.org.uk/html/gwe/S906-3.pdf
  5. Well they moved Swanbourne Siding(s) to Bletchley, so maybe Claydon LNE will become Verney Junction !
  6. There are plenty of photographs of 1466 in BR Days' try searching EBAY.
  7. Hello Chris, Pleased to hear your are ok. Mrs GWR and I were looking forward to seeing you at York MRE, but alas, not too be. All the best from Mr & Mrs GWR.
  8. Nice to see M79900 progressing; born & bred in Bletchley, I used to see the pair M79900 / M79901 on a regular basis.
  9. Me too, although I thought it was the 10%ers?

  11. I was born and bred just down the road from Newton Longville Signal Box which controlled the Sidings that served the Brickworks. I recall the afternoon Brick Train (and travelled on it on a couple of occasions) that ran from Bletchley (running wrong line "up" the Down Fast) to Lambs Siding and then onto Newton Longville (via the Chord Line) and finished up at Swanbourne Sidings.
  12. I thought Kempston Hardwick when I saw the photograph. Love the Rats & Craven shots, very nostalgic.
  13. Thank you for sharing the photographs, a sad state indeed. My Spotting Notes show that I last visited the Depot on 27/04/1984 when 31403 & 45046 were present. Happy Days!
  14. Talking of which, I see that the 6H10 Bletchley to Peak Forest has just lost 16 Minutes between Fenny Stratford and Woburn Sands, so I guess he was held on the double track section by the Cambridge Sidings! I see as I'm typing, he's made up 4 Mins by Ridgmont! Ok on wishing you'd taken more photographs; we took for granted that things would stay the same forever. I used to travel to work on the Cravens Units; although the motor unit rattled like no other, they were fairly reliable.
  15. Spoke too soon, 2S07 08:01 Bletchley to Bedford cancelled at Ridgmont due to "Level Crossing Failure" !
  16. I suppose they let the Passenger out in front because you had to Shunt at Forders Siding? Hopefully it would have been a bit different if you were a through Freight such as the Peak Forest CEMEX? I recall my late father telling me some of the Brick Trains having a Banker engine. This was in the days of LNWR Super 'D's"with loose coupled Freights.
  17. Looks like the Level Crossing issue has been resolved, BUT, 50% of Services are cancelled due to "Traction Defect".
  18. Trains are running Bletchley to Stewartby and Stewartby to Bletchley.
  19. I'll be following this conversion with interest as I have a Bachmann Body waiting for conversion to 7408.
  20. My Datebase shows 83003 cut up at Crewe Works. Also it is listed here https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/380-on-this-day-in-history/&do=findComment&comment=1392809 as at Crewe Works 23/03/1975
