      It's not hard, it just takes time. If you do get stuck just flag it up on hear.

      Buy one and start a thread. That way you can take advantage of all the advice and help on offer here and it could encourage someone else to have a go at chassis building. Might be wise to start on an 0-6-0 tank chassis first though.

      It really depends on your own confidence with a soldering iron, and being able to keep things square / parallel. If you're able to follow instructions, you shouldn't go wrong.

      More than likely, I just preordered straight off, check out the website. I'd be interested in seeing the results of your Proto-Deltic though, I just when straight to the source because I can't imagine them producing another batch after this one

      CVA 01 was a 1960s proposal from the Royal Navy for a class of 2-5 35'000 ton Aircraft carriers, they were cancelled in 1966, but if like me you suffer from an adiction to Alternative History there a nice talking point.
