pwr
Great news Andy. Looking forward to updates. I did like Porth merryn - something about the placement of the buildings made it look much bigger than it was. Paul R 2

The removers are coming around next Monday or Tuesday to do the Glass / China / Paints packing etc and we will store the boxes in the Conservatory until Thursday for loading along with the Shed stuff.

Paul R Thanks Paul, I feel it was the fact that Railway didn't take centre stage, as the main focus of attention was always on the Harbour and Buildings around it. Cheers. Maybe now it will be the start of a more normal way of life, which so far has alluded us in this dreadful year. 1

Thanks Mick, I think most people can write 2020 off as far as a normal year is concerned, as long as we keep breathing, that's the most important thing, and work on getting as normal as possible until this Virus is contained enough to socialise a bit again. You and your family keep well and safe mate. 1

Trevor Hi Trevor, And thanks, I hope to get started within a Month or so, and will be posting daily or at least fairly regular updates of the conversion progress on here. At least everything is contained in one thread now, unlike a few Months ago when I had 3 threads running at the same time. I will just be concentrating on SMS and still have a couple more OO Gauge K3 and 2 Diesel Sound Locos and some Wagons to put onto E-Bay when I can find them again. Cheers again and keep well and safe. Edited May 5, 2020 by Andrew P

Hi Kevin, Thanks and yes, I have the room / Garage planned out, and also what I eventually want to do with SMS. But the original plan of having my Step Son, Grandson (a Builder) and Son in Law all around to help, cannot now happen for a while. The two big jobs will be the laying of the new flooring using 4 x 8ft x 4ft x3/4 inch Chipboard over a 2 inch thick Polystyrene base, as I will really struggle to lift the Chipboard on my own. And also cutting a hole in the wall for the door from the Hall, as my record on demolition is as good as the Late Great Fed Dibner. I will be posting progress on here, if I can get out from under the rubble.
Andrew P
For todays first Blast from the Past, I will skip Willsbridge, and briefly show some pics of Beale Street with the Minerva Peckett and Ixion Hudswell Clarke, two superb Locos but the Layout never really jelled with my thinking. Andrew P
Now in a second Blast from the Past today I'm also going to skip Bristol Victoria, as that was another unmitigated disaster, and move on to 2017 and Kings Moreton.

Hi Andy, good luck with the move, hope it all goes smoothly for you. Regarding the chipboard floor, have you considered using attic flooring, they're smaller sheets, lighter, more manoeuvrable and interlock together (T&G). Just a thought. pwr
Love the picture of the baron Bodgit! Did you use forced perspective on that element of the layout Andy. Looks very convincing. Paul R
