It was resignalled in Oct 2006 to control the whole line between Oxley and Abbey Foregate. Don't know what happened to the original frame. It was a LMR Type 15 'box built in 1969. 1

Poor Old Bruce
Still in North Eastern land in 1985 I haven't got the name of this first one although it may be in my spotting book of the day if I could be bothered to look for it. In sequence it's between yesterday's Boldon Colliery and East Boldon so it's in that neck of the woods. Edit: beast66606 tells us it's Tile Shed. It's also another for the classic car folks out there. Is that an Alpha Romeo badge below the number plate? RMweb Gold Dunsignalling Posted June 10, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 10, 2021 (edited) Indeed, the Alfasud, whilst quite delightful when new, had a dire reputation for rotting out quicker than almost anything else. One of my mates reckoned you could hear them rusting! The only decent one over ten years old that I ever encountered had been subjected to the "Full Monty" range of WaxOyl treatments on delivery. Wickham Green too
Brucie was kind enough to give us Madeley on the last page ...... here it is a Brownhills on 6/9/19. The ladder belongs to Staffordshire Fire & Rescue who'd sent two appliances to put out a fire that'd started in the eaves - though not near any wiring nor where a locomotive spark might lodge .... bit of a mystery ! Another 'box that's still with us - but as yet absent from this thread : St.Albans South : Midland Railway : 15/1/89 ..... and as restored : 15/1/11 ( 22 years later – to the day ! ) Edited May 11, 2022 by Wickham Green too Photos reinstated
Poor Old Bruce
Kirkby Summit, 1985. That's Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, a BR(LMR) design. Frisby Station, between Syston and Melton Mowbray, 1986, an LMS design I think and another anonymous one which is next in sequence to the Frisby photos so may be in that neck of the woods, it may equally be nowhere near as it is taken out of a train while Frisby was taken from the ground. Either way, it's a decapitated Midland box which is not Great Rocks. Edit: Thank you to @Andrea506 and @beast66606for telling us it's Kibworth Station box after closure in 1986 Edited June 12, 2021 by Poor Old Bruce To add 'Kibworth Station'

Poor Old Bruce
I stopped at Bedale, North Eastern Railway, on 28 November 1996 and took the opportunity to take several photos of the box from as many different angles as I could, while I could. The number of photos may be tedious to some but I hope others may find the different views worth the effort. Plus a photo taken on a previous visit on 1 April 1985 with the earlier level crossing barrier. Just wikipeed it to find that the box is Grade II listed and part of the Wensleydale Railway preservation scheme. Also my last photo looks a lot like their photo of Leeming Bar station. Popular Post Poor Old Bruce
The day before Bedale (i.e. 27 oct 1996), I ended up at Hexham and took the opportunity to get several shots of the elevated North eastern box there. Different from the usual telephoto shot from the station platform.
RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted June 13, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 13, 2021 Good to see Hexham in close-up. It periodically features on Dave F's excellent photo-thread, but as you say, from a distance. West Croydon A was similar, I think. That's been gone 40 years. 1
