Grouse101
I only found this blog today whilst looking for inspiration and couldn't stop flicking through the 230 pages and over 10 years worth of fantastic work! I really hope that your recovery is going well now and that you're on the mend. All the best, Rob. 1

As a Spurs supporter, I'm sure that Gordon will be able to make sense as to what is happening at his club. Pochettino might be back as manager and Kane gone off to pastures new... Or then again he might not. Our thoughts are with you and yours Gordon. Take care. 3

RMweb Gold chris p bacon Posted May 27, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 27, 2021 Whilst watching some of Springwatch this evening, I did wonder if Gordon would appreciate a 'Get well' from his favourite Heron....but then thought it might not do his blood pressure any good. 3

You know I often have nightmares where I wake to find an Otter doing backstroke in my koi pond eating my fish. It's highly improbable given that it's miles to the nearest river but it don't stop the nightmares. Regards Lez. 2 1

You know, an ex-boss of mine worked for a company called Otter Controls. They made bi-metal thermal cutouts for kettles. That was the joke with Companies House who refused their initial registration of TDA Controls as TDA stood for Tom, DIck & 'Arry! 1

RMweb Premium Popular Post Bogie Posted June 4, 2021 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted June 4, 2021 The last few pages of this topic demonstrate in spades the genuine affection that is felt for all modelers of whatever ability and whatever scale by others in this hobby. I only know Gordon by this topic as I have obviously never meet him, but I wish him and all his loved ones the best in this difficult time. 16 4

RMweb Gold Popular Post BoD Posted June 7, 2021 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted June 7, 2021 Update: Gordon is now out of the intensive care unit. This is good in that it means he no longer needs life support but his progress remains static. As has been said all along, recovery is going to take weeks and weeks. A quote from the message from Gordon’s wife; “If you could also pass on my thanks and Gordon’s thanks for all the wonderful messages of encouragement and support that you have all sent to Gordon. They mean a lot to him and to me. Take care all.” 4 7 1

hayfield
Best news for ages and a relief that Gordon is out of the IC unit. No doubt it wont be long before the sidings get redesigned Again thanks for the update and please pass on our best wishes to all 1 3
Foulounoux
Great news. I can understand the relief as ICU is a scary place often more so for the family than the patient. My wife recalls none of the 4 days she was in ICU I recall every bit of it.
LNER4479
Phew! My face has long since turned blue with all that breath holding ... A long way to go still clearly but this news is obviously a significant step in the right. Thanks for the update and keep soldering on, Gordon! 1 3
KeithHC
Ok so Gordon has been made a passed cleaner so can fire on a few shunting turns but a long way to the top link. But he is on the way. Keeping the fingers crossed. Keith 3
