Class 66 photos

Interesting that the 442 moves have 73s as coupling converters. 

The ex DB ten 66s can't couple to the drophead buckeyes on the mainline (they will couple, but not permitted due to different sizes) but interesting that the screw link fitted 66s have 73s for company too. Unless perhaps it's a brake force issue?

A quick trip out on 30th May 2021 produced...

 

Freightliner 66525 passing light locomotive through Deighton working from Leeds Midland Road to Crewe Basford Hall...

A couple of 66s from the last 24 hours - another of Freightliner 66563 with 90013 approaching Brighouse on 2nd June 2021 working a very late running 0E90...

Late running because of a 30 mph restriction for the 90, so I'm told.

On 4th June 2021, the third time that 6Z40, Mountsorell to Bredbury Tilcon loaded aggregate hoppers has run in as many weeks (twice previously on a Tuesday, first time on a Friday), in the hands today of GBRf 66728 Institution of Railway Operators rumbling through Brighouse.

A couple from Staffordshire early this morning...I went to see the southbound 'beds in sun.

 

Firstly Freightliner 66953 on 4L52 Garston FLT to London Gateway Port Line 2 at Hademore:
