17A
Here are many, many photographs that use to belong to my grandad. I am sorting out and scanning while in in lockdown. First is Dean Goods '2449' at Builth Wells. Here we see Modified Hall 7914 'Lleweni Hall' Fresh from overhaul at Didcot 12th January 1957 And finally we come across GWR Bulldog 3705 'George A. Wills' Swindon Works on 27/08/36. Edited April 22, 2020 by 17A

Peppercorn
V2 at Oxley, October '65. This surprised me as I wasn't expecting to see one of my favourite LNER engines here. I took it with, I think, a Yashica J and the film was Ilford 125 ASA.

Peppercorn
Another not very good photo but one which, I think, shows how things were in those now far-off days when there was still steam around. And also in the case of the station - Glasgow Buchanan Street. This is Fairburn 2-6-4T and is a scan from a 10 cm x 15 cm B & W photo that has worn somewhat: if - hopefully when - the negative pops up, I'll re-scan. I took this one in summer of 1966, which was a very fine summer, and unbeknownst to me, the station was closed soon afterwards, in November 1966. Beeching apparently. Again.

I may be wrong, but I think that this is Glasgow Central, platform 3? I stand to be corrected. Regards Ian

Regards Ian Definitely Central. I wouldn’t be sure about the particular platform, but it is on the east side of the station, so a low number.

Not only do I bow to your superior knowledge, but the back of my photo says: "Fairburn 4MT at Glasgow Central between 20-7-66 and 27-7-66" I don't know why I didn't look first... jpachl
After being bought by a local railway company, a freshly revised V 60 diesel shunter arrived in Finsterwalde, Brandenburg state, Germany. The paint scheme is still from the former owner Hörseltalbahn and will be replaced soon by fresh paint. jamie.dunn
I honestly can’t believe I’ve just found this thread. I’ll be the first to admit that my photo style is to capture more the train rather then just the loco, however I’m hoping to share a couple of my photos for inspiration. here we see tornado leaving York heading towards Edinburgh (?) taken on the 19th of June. Next we see 68 033 stabled in the Scarborough Bay platforms at York. again taken the 19th June. finally we see 47 614 and 47 828 on their final approach to Scarborough taken on the 10th July. I’m going to look through my photographs And hopefully I’ll be able to share more shortly for now stay safe jamie
