enginelane
Travelling time in the van is great for what if conversations and one that is becoming more regular is what happens after Troutons. We have bookings for Glasgow, Nottingham? Spalding, Preston to replan after snow closure and its final trip to Wakefield. Thoughts are now moving onto its replacement with a possible debut at Wakefield in 2021. We have discussed where the new layout might be placed, time period and traffic that might be carried. All will be sorted ready to apply to the club for layout space November 2018. Watch this space or even a new thread starting in November 2018!

enginelane
Prompt delivery this morning means Freightliner big box wagons train will be making an appearance at the Epsom Show next weekend. Think I will take advantage of the sunny weather, footy on the radio, a cool can of something and an afternoon of taking off the shine of the new models Ended up having a walk and tackling the garden so making a start this morning Edited April 22, 2018 by enginelane
enginelane
Excellent source of images to use. Without such snaps would make the job much harder to produce models with such variation https://ukrailwaypics.smugmug.com/UKRailRollingstock/M-Tops-codes/MJA-Freightliner-Bogie-boxes/ Thanks for taking the time to take the photos
enginelane
Do not normally have out of season strawberries but noticed local supermarket now doing on longer boxes than before. Piece of cardboard in the bottom and a useful tray to keep longer length wagons and locos plus paints etc all in one place. Have added advantage that they stack. Useful as well as shows wife you are trying to keep things nice and tidy Edited April 22, 2018 by enginelane

enginelane
That is it for Troutons on the road in 2018. Troutons heading north to Scotland in February and East to Spaulding in November 2019. North East is an area not covered so far in any bookings. Planning for the sequel to Troutons will start in November this year. If anyone is interested in the Helijan crane we have decided to sell it. Please message for further details Edited April 30, 2018 by enginelane

enginelane
Santa was very good this year and as well as a Class 156 then a couple of wagons as well to add to the roster. First run out at Glasgow Feb 2019. They seem to get knocked about abit so will have a go at more vigorous wear and tear on this one.
