Indomitable026
Just stopped for a cup of tea, here's where we've got. Board one sat on top of one of the aborted boards for fitting of cross members. Board two coming together.
Indomitable026
Now I'm fitting the cross members. I check for levelness using a piece of wood across from the next cross member - just to make sure its not rotated as the screw went in. I had a couple of cross members twist without me spotting on the last boards, this meant I then had to plane them down to get the base board top to sit flat. I've decided its much less work to check while the glues wet...

Indomitable026
The next job is to make provision for the connection of the fiddle yard board on the back of board 1. This will form a 'L' shape to take the track around the back to the fiddle yard.
Indomitable026
Next I've refitted the recovered legs, luckily they fit with no adjustments required. The first fiddle yard board is now under construction on the table saw in the background getting there now
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted October 30, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 30, 2016 It's almost like you know what you're doing / the pub is shut. Quite neat woodwork though.
Indomitable026
The pub's beckoning, so its time to wrap up. The boards are now in the modelling room. So we've nearly caught up with where we were, i.e. the project can start moving forward now. Next jobs are fit dowels and Bolts.

The chair we rescued from the Phez wine bar on its final night of disreputable trading is in my garage.. It still bears some wayward saw cuts. We didn't always have saw horses.
