bike2steam
As they spent a great deal of time under repair there, I would say that 'baby' is at Stratford shed (?).
RMweb Gold stovepipe Posted October 25, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 25, 2015 Yes, I think that lifting beam behind says Stratford rather than Finsbury Park.
RRU
Do you think the building in the background surrounded by sheeting is the same one in these pic`s? Peter
Peter Kazmierczak
Just wondering if the three Jinties are at Derby?
Marshall5
Just wondering if the three Jinties are at Derby? That was my suspicion as the first two look ex Barry so would be 47327 and 47257. I can't see the third one clearly to see if it still has its side tanks. If they are missing then it's 47564 which had, latterly, been demoted to stationary boiler duty at Cheetham Hill carriage sidings. Derby Museum also obtained 47445 from colliery service. No idea where in Derby (if indeed it is Derby) though! Ray.
Peter Kazmierczak
Is that Derby No.4 shed on the left? I recall seeing them at a Works Open Day.

Peter Kazmierczak
Do you think both pic`s are of the same place ? Peter The second picture isn't Derby (not saying the first is for certain). Looks to be at a heritage site. I think the clock and fingureboards are from Nottm Victoria.

luckymucklebackit
Top one is Eastfield Shed (65A) in Glasgow, I would hazard a guess that the second one is also Eastfield. Jim

RMweb Gold TheSignalEngineer Posted October 26, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 26, 2015 Bottom one looks like Darlington. Loco was built there and is ex-works. as is the WD next to it.
RMweb Gold stovepipe Posted October 26, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 26, 2015 11225 in second from bottom was based at Ashford until renumbering, so probably taken there.
Rail-Online
D2407 is down the side of Barrow Hill. They were based there for some time, I always assumed they worked at the steelworks but pics of them are scarce. Cheers Tony

Marshall5
The first photo of Hunslet diesel 'John Alcock' (HE 1697/32) and Bagnall 'Matthew Murray' (BG 2702/43) is at Middleton, probably in the Dartmouth Yard. The 2 Yorkshires (later 02 class) in the last 2 photos were both shedded at Fleetwood in 1962 but don't recognize the brick building in the background. Ray. Fat Controller
Something about 11227 says 'Hither Green' to me. 11225 (the Ashford engine) isn't at Ashford shed, which was a concrete structure, IIRC. It might be in part of the old wagon works, which was where the Outlet Centre now is, or it might be somewhere like Folkestone shed?
RMweb Gold stovepipe Posted October 26, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 26, 2015 Agree, Hither Green, down the side of the right hand shed in this picture. https://www.flickr.com/photos/28120463@N07/5201285530/

pH
An ex-G&SWR 'Galloway' shed, so Ayr, Hurlford or Dumfries. Edit - I think the south end of Ayr shed. Reasoning - Ayr was the only one still open when diesels started to lose the 'D' prefix, and I've seen one picture of the south end of the remaining "Galloway" part of the shed in 1967 with the same position of the left-hand light as in your picture.
