Afternoon folks.....

Although far from complete and remaining in its raw painting and weathering stage, have begun the construction of the retaining walls for the bridge side cottages overlooking the turntable and given a base coat of dark stone to the girder supports, will post further when available.

Stay safe ans warm my friends please.....

Hi My Friends.....

The station side of 'Llangeitho Bridge', which  looked like this late this afternoon....

IMG_2047.JPG.dee101b7b89452a8d7892583e1a4b752.JPG

I have applied a darker grey dry brush  tone to the lighter areas of brickwork and to cover the patches of DAS/  Artex that were stubbornly remaining white, so ended up like this a 'days end'......

Will work on the dark earth/ smoke weathering powders another night to follow, probably more than likely won't be tomorrow evening, as I am planning to be at Arley tomorrow so won't be back until late afternoon / early evening so will be too tired to do anything, save clean myself up, cook tea and go to bed!

Regards always,

Bob

Hope all are well...?

Here's a small step forwards, have formed up the base for the ground onto which the 'Railway Terrace' cottages are to sit and have fitted this into the section between Llangeitho Road Bridge and the turntable.

Sut mae?

This is how 'Railway Cuttings’ gardens may look, mixture of  grass and veg plot, the corner shop wlll be closed down, whitewashed net curtained windows....the larger gated area once used for parking may have a workshop / shed?

Will add domestic things (washing lines, tin baths and anything I can come up with) too.

Hi.....

Tonight's developments....the gates, walls and marking of potential grass and allotments to rear of of 23 Railway Cuttings!

Have an idea to lace a 'ghost sign' of the (shop) apex wall of the end cottage?

Regards always

Bob

Hi

Here’s the state of play at close of business, just a few further setts to paint before proceeding to the next stage of the road surface, also have marked out the areas that are intended to have differing characteristics when it comes to the rear of the buildings, a mix of small grass area and vegetable plots?

Will be having a ‘night off’ tomorrow as there’s a planned Arley day on Sunday?

Regards always and stay safe guys,

Bob

Evening All......

The cottages and wall have yet to be worked up, the unfolding effect with the roadway and paving was totally unexpected, when the cottages are toned down the contrast will be less defined, there's just something I am unsure of at the moment, any suggestions?

Very, very nicely done

Hi

Thanks Chris,

Hopefully when a top, dry brush of grey is applied, along with weeds and ground effects are added it'll soften the roadway / paving etc, need to tone the buildings down too, but will keep at it.

Regards always

Bob
