SEM63A
I'm coming down from Perth (Scotland) for this show as Alison B has "insisted" I should come! Good news: I wont be wearing a kilt. Looking forward to catching up with friends and to what looks like a great show. Good to see Eskmuir again (hello Tony!). You will recognise me because I will be wearing my Perth & District MRC shirt - please say hello. We always enjoy having Southamptom MRC at our show in Perth so for me it is most interesting to see one of yours! steve45
Is there much parking on site, looking at Google Earth, there seems to be parking at the back of the college, is this available to exhibition visitors? Thanks Steve
Oakydoke
The car parks, out front and at the rear, fill up very early on. There's parking along the road outside (watch out for the bus stops), which incurs parking charges during the week, but is free at weekends. So don't panic when you see the parking signs. Unfortunately, at the busiest times of the exhibition, the roadside parking fills up quickly and there are lots of yellow lines on all the approach and surrounding roads. Resident's parking permits apply on the housing estate across the road, but I don't know if these apply at the weekend?

dave.barker
In addition to the previous posts about parking: There are about 40 additional spaces at the College this year, which will help. Parking restrictions in the residential streets to the south (Southampton) side of Chestnut Avenue do not apply at weekends. There is also a small (free) public car park in Chestnut Avenue, on the left hand side a few hundred yards beyond the junction with Stoneham Lane, going in the Chandlers Ford direction. This is about a 10 minutes walk from Barton Peveril College.

RMweb Gold Godfrey Glyn Posted January 30, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 30, 2016 Visited the show today. I thought it was a really good show with very high quality layouts and good trade support. I shall certainly go back for a second look around tomorrow. The College car-park was full at 11.30 when I arrived but had no problem finding somewhere to park in Cedar Road just round the corner and the parking restrictions in the neighbourhood do not apply on a Sunday. well worth a visit. RMweb Premium Barry O Posted January 31, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 31, 2016 Getting ready for day two. Very busy yesterday and it was very warm in some parts of the show.nthe bits I have seen so far have been excellent.
850lordnelson
A good show as always with very good standard of layouts for me I personally felt there was a lack of modern image layouts. Trade was good with picking up a bargin. All in all a good day out and only a short walk from my house ☺
phixer64
Again, a good show. Even though the layouts were a little short of numbers in the main hall, the quality was still there. Had a good day, picked up bits and pieces, and met up with nice people. regards Jeff
