I'm coming down from Perth (Scotland) for this show as Alison B has "insisted" I should come! Good news: I wont be wearing a kilt.

Looking forward to catching up with friends and to what looks like a great show. Good to see Eskmuir again (hello Tony!). You will recognise me because I will be wearing my Perth & District MRC shirt - please say hello. We always enjoy having Southamptom MRC at our show in Perth so for me it is most interesting to see one of yours!

Regards,

and a few more visitors from Yorkshire with Herculaneum.... and some hullites as well I think

...... just remember to apply the brakes when you get south of the M4 or you'll end up in the Solent!!

One of the few shows we have to head south for, always a good one

The car parks, out front and at the rear, fill up very early on.

There's parking along the road outside (watch out for the bus stops), which incurs parking charges during the week, but is free at weekends. So don't panic when you see the parking signs.

Unfortunately, at the busiest times of the exhibition, the roadside parking fills up quickly and there are lots of yellow lines on all the approach and surrounding roads.

Resident's parking permits apply on the housing estate across the road, but I don't know if these apply at the weekend?

In addition to the previous posts about parking:

There are about 40 additional spaces at the College this year, which will  help.

Parking restrictions in the residential streets to the south (Southampton) side of Chestnut Avenue do not apply at weekends.

There is also a small (free) public car park in Chestnut Avenue, on the left hand side a few hundred yards beyond the junction with Stoneham Lane, going in the Chandlers Ford direction.  This is about a 10 minutes walk from Barton Peveril College.

Visited the show today. I thought it was a really good show with very high quality layouts and good trade support. I shall certainly go back for a second look around tomorrow. The College car-park was full at 11.30 when I arrived but had no problem finding somewhere to park in Cedar Road just round the corner and the parking restrictions in the neighbourhood do not apply on a Sunday. well worth a visit.
