sem34090
Indeed, and may I add that, should we decide that too torturous, then it will be a TRIP FROM THE WRONG SIDE OF VICTORIA... THE SOUTH EASTERN!!!!!! Yes, a trip from Victoria to Redhill via the South Eastern should prove the trick, and if that fails the journey would be continued to Hastings... Good Day! E. Missenden
RMweb Premium Northroader Posted January 23, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 23, 2018 Hem,hem, the wrong side of Victoria is the Chatham side. If you wanted to get to Redhill on a South Eastern train you’d need to go from Charing X or Cannon St.

RMweb Gold Regularity Posted January 23, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 23, 2018 What an evil punishment! but at least I will have my pension to look forward to when I finally get off the train! That’s the spirit: blind optimism. A pension by the time you retire... ...really!
RMweb Gold BlueLightning Posted January 23, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted January 23, 2018 Well I don't expect to get it at 70!! Maybe 80 if I am lucky!!! That is after all only 50ish years away!! Gary
sem34090
You lot will be lucky! I reckon I've got roughly 60-70 years until I'll be allowed to retire. And no, I'm not ten, nor was I born Yesterday (In the most literal sense of that phrase!). E. Missenden
RMweb Gold BlueLightning Posted January 23, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted January 23, 2018 You're probably right!! I must say though I don't plan on working until I reach pension age, I have a plan! Gary
sem34090
I know that Gary has put together one of these in the past, and I have a copy, but I started this some time ago, and will finish it as part of a 'Terrier Mega-Sheet' I have planned, Covering several I.E.G, Umber, SR, BR, LSWR, SECR, KESR, S&MR, IoWCR, FYNR, IWR, WC&PR and various other liveries that were carried by various members of the class. I am also planning a general LBSCR Sheet, but that will come in time. E. Missenden
RMweb Gold BlueLightning Posted January 23, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted January 23, 2018 Sir Eustace, That sounds like a very useful sheet!! I have a full set of numbers for IEG and Umber livery I can send over if you want? Gary

sem34090
Consider yourself very helpful indeed! However, I've already started a terrier sheet with a much yellower shade!
sem34090
Well, the Umber Terrier sheet is roughly complete, just need to choose, then add, some numbers or at least put some numberplates on the side, courtesy of our gracious host! LBSCR Umber Terrier.pdf I'll finish it off tomorrow, but for now I'm off to bed! G' Night all, Useless Miss-Enden
Ruffnut Thorston
News Update Update! Skinnylinny
Very nice it is too, if a little late for me! If I may make one small constructive criticism, the lining on the bunker side (top rear corner of the bunker on both sides) looks a little odd - I think your inner yellow lining has missed the corner slightly. Otherwise very pretty! Edited January 24, 2018 by Skinnylinny
sem34090
I just noticed that... B*****! I'll try and fix that later: looking at pictures, I think I've completely bodged up the bunker side lining. I'll come back to it after the SECR one, I think.
RMweb Gold BlueLightning Posted January 24, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted January 24, 2018 Oak Hill is 2 years old!!!! So it must be party time again!! :yahoo: This time last year we had 20 pages, 489 replies, 16,159 views, and 30 followers! We now have 67 pages, 1,665 replies, 45,720 views, and 44 followers!! This seems slightly insane to me!! At the time I had just revealed my B1 Class, and revealed the "Oak Hill" Manning Wardle on the day. However I haven't actually prepared anything this year, except a look at the layout to see what stage we are at. and I must say I am very happy with it!! However a few days ago I was contacted by Alex (Midland Mole) about a wagon that he had at his work and he asked if I would like it, I jumped at the chance and this wagon arrived today giving me something new to show you!!! And it has made a wonderful birthday present for Oak Hill, and a wonderful addition to my collection!!! I was very happy when it arrived today, after all I wanted something to mark the having the layout for 2 years. But somehow something else ended up in the parcel! Something I was not expecting at all! Something rather incredible! I was rather shocked when I saw it! but I knew what it was straight away! Even before I took it out of the rather well done bubble wrap! and I bet you want to know what it is now? It's almost like I have put in all these lines just to push the picture down a bit! but would I really be that mean?? Yes, yes I would!! but anyway it is.......... His LB&SCR B1 that I joked about wanting!!!!!! So once again, Thanks you Alex!! It loves it's new home!! Now I just need to get it repainted!! And finally thank you everyone for reading this madmans ramblings for another year! I do appreciate all the feedback, comments, and ratings I receive. They make the whole project a lot more enjoyable, and really push me to get on with it. I would not have got anywhere near as far as I have without you!! Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed, and here's to the next year!!!! Gary

Guest Midland Mole @ Footplate
I cant believe it is just over a year since I first discovered this awesome thread, and I have loved following every minute of it! To watch it change and evolve is a real pleasure. Happy Birthday Oak Hill, and here's to the next two years!! Alex

RMweb Gold BlueLightning Posted January 24, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted January 24, 2018 You can have it in exchange for a B1 that is just well built, DCC Sound fitted, fully working, and in Improved Engine Green!!!!! Does that sound like a fair swap? :jester: Gary
