Andrew P
So the Pigs now have Pig a Loos and have had a roll in the muck. I have lifted the wall I put in yesterday behind the Fish Store / Cottages, it made the Layout to unbalanced with all wall at one end, so a re think is in progress as we speak.

Andrew P
And I've been experimenting with a four Bar Fence at the back of the Cottages, it will eventually have Shrubs up against it once its been painted etc.and I feel it gives a lighter look now behind the Cottages. I've also looked at the possibility of a Gated entrance to the Dock Side and Fish House that is still in use today. And adding a wall along the front of the Goods siding will give me the opportunity for some Greenery. I've also started a Gents Loo but it needs another coat of Paint and then the Gentleman's Sign on it. Whoops sorry Sir, I'm NOT looking, hahha.
RMweb Gold MarshLane Posted May 28, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 28, 2016 Good god Andy, slow down a bit! Rome wasn't built in a day you know ... Although it might have been with you at the helm! Hehe! Seriously, it's coming on really well now, love the detail. Have you used brass rod to create the four bar fence? At this rate you'll be done and finished by 1st June .... Or is that the plan to allow you to get on with the O Gauge! Hahaha! Looks really good, wish I could progress at the same rate! Rich

Rich Thanks and Good morning Rich, there's loads to do yet, like the Quayside / Water / Goods Yard / Door for the Factory Building etc. I don't tend to rush thing, I just normally plan the day ahead and I sometimes I look at things like the wall I've just removed and think it looks wrong. Yes it was Brass Rod for the fence, I tried doing one once with cotton and it was a nightmare but I think this will look O.K. once painted etc.

I think the brass rod looks good and works very effectively. Carry on that man!!!
Andrew P
Morning all, well an hour down with Mum this morning and then back to paint the Railings, re fix the Wall and Ballast the bit of Track along the back, (the Rails and Sleepers were painted the other day). I still need a Gate Post to be fitted. And I've weathered the Wall near the Goods Yard.

RMweb Premium Ray H Posted May 29, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 29, 2016 I reckon you're in trouble Andy. How can you build a railway so close to those poor animals and still expect to get decent quality sausages and eggs?
RMweb Premium St Enodoc Posted May 29, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 29, 2016 I reckon you're in trouble Andy. How can you build a railway so close to those poor animals and still expect to get decent quality sausages and eggs? It's a time saving trick. The creatures will be so shaken up by the passing trains and the constant rebuilding of their surroundings that the pork will come out already minced and the eggs will come out already scrambled. RMweb Gold 5BarVT Posted May 29, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 29, 2016 And whose moved the Emoticons all about? Andy, You are king of the emoticons and I would like to follow timidly in your footsteps but I haven't a clue where to find them. Can you point me in the direction to get started. Thanks :-), Paul. Hi Paul, when you do a Post / Reply there should be a box along the top of the typing area. it has things like BOLD ITALIC UNDER SCORE AND CROSSOUT Font and Size, next to that should be Colour and the Emoticons face, just click on it and it should bring a load up, to the right is an arrow for more options, but you can only use 10 per post. Hope this helps. if not PM Andy Y.
RMweb Gold 5BarVT Posted May 29, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 29, 2016 All Mr Apple's fault and me being lazy. I browse RMweb on my tablet because I have it with me when I'm away or sitting in my recliner and it doesn't bring up the toolbars in the reply box. I suppose I could always use my work laptop . I'll just have to be patient and wait 'til I get home! Thanks AndyP. Paul.

RMweb Premium Ray H Posted May 30, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 30, 2016 Just one little job this morning before picking Mum up for Lunch. Stone me, first you're being cruel to pigs and chickens and now you're having Mum for lunch! Were the eggs and bangers that bad?
Edwardian
You're are on fire, storming through this. All excellent developments, though if I had to choose particular highlights, the feeding pigs and chickens and that convincingly scabby Gents. Andrew P
Cheers Guys, I'm hoping to get on the Harbour wall later when I get back from the Doctors, I also have a weathering job to do today as well so we'll see how time goes. I've also decided NOT to put a gate across here as it's a lovely photo opportunity position.
