Georgie!!
The past couple of months I have been building a new, small, layout based upon a 'what if' GBRF small fuelling point with a couple of sidings. The layout measures 4ft x 18inches and is portable and light in weight so that it can be moved around the house or even outside for photos. Its a little scene located just outside a large town with a bridge carrying a busy ring road and walking shoppers all heading to the shops whilst some GBRF locos stable and refuel below there feet. Below are a few photos of progress. The layout is still work in progress so there are a couple of rough edges that are yet to be worked on and hopefully more updates when things are done. All the best, George.

Georgie!!
Thank you, yes I do have a few GB locos, only class 66s at the moment, but there are a few other locos to enter the works. Below 66731 and 66711 stabled in the sidings. Cheers, George
Marcus 37
Hi George This is a layout I shall be taking a great deal of interest in as I drive for GBRf. What you've done already looks superb. Shall be following along now with interest. Here's a few pictures of our depot at Peterborough which maybe of help. Cheers Marcus

Georgie!!
Hi Marcus, Thank you very much for the photos, very most useful especially of the fuelling point. I have been researching various fuelling points, but I feel a big canopy styled one is a bit much for the layout, but the one there outside the depot would be a great little item to model. Many thanks. 66719 'Metro-Land' awaits permission to go onto the fuelling point Cheers, George

Georgie!!
With the awesome weather we have been having I decided to take the layout into the garden and weather the track to make the areas where locos would be parked a little more well-used looking. I also fitted a couple more lineside cabinets along the back siding and also some more trucking, which just now needs painting. Hopefully I shall get to a local DIY store, so I can start on the backscenes. Cheers, George

Marcus 37
Looks great Georgie. Hope you got it back inside before the thunder storms started. Just taken 66703 back to Peterborough and the Lightning was biblical between Nuneaton and Leicester. Great to watch though.

Georgie!!
Thank you for the comments. I'm not 100% sure on the weathering as in places it looks a little patchy, but not sure if its just the photo, I will probably have another look at it tomorrow. Hi Marcus, that sounds awesome, I bet it was. I have been wondering whether to model 66703. I did get the layout back in doors before the rain came. Just another photo of the weathered track below. Georgie!!
Hi Richard, That sounds great, that certainly would be one impressive sight and line up. I'm hoping by the end of the year to have between 17 and 20 class 66, but I do need to sorted with the class 20s and 47s. Cheers, George
Georgie!!
Looks like more awesome weather today, so hopefully, if no thunderstorms, I will be setting the layout up in the garden and photograph some locos. 66709 prepares to leave the sidings to make its way to the fuelling point. Georgie!!
My plan for today didn't go quite to plan. I was meant to go to the local DIY store so I could begin work on the backscenes, but I never got there. However, one job I have been meaning to do was start adding yard lights. The main area around the fuelling point has had its lights added, just a buffer stop light to add, but shall have to wait on the post for that, and I have added two more yard lights to the little area at the front of the layout where the landside cabinet is. All that's to do now is to wire them up. Cheers, George Edited May 8, 2016 by Georgie!!

Georgie!!
Hi Marcus, thank you for the photos of the class 20s. They will certainly come in handy for the future. Got my mind set on 20901 and 905 for sure now. Cheers George

Georgie!!
Thank you for the kind comments and likes. Work on the layout has been slow this week due to my work, but I have been busy wiring in the yard and buffer stop lights and I have a couple more arriving through the post, hopefully more work will continue this weekend. 66748 sits in the siding with 66719, behind, awaiting permission to enter the fuelling point. Although the real 66748 has just been painted into GBRF blue and yellow, mine will stay grey... for now! Cheers, George
MRDBLUE17
Hi George, Nice little layout you have created and looks good. I'm liking your selection of locos too. Marcus thanks for sharing all those superb photos. I've thought about updating one of my old blue 20's and adding 20118 to create one of those pairings and that has just tempted me further. Thanks Mark
